London Festival Luno presents All Points East have teamed up with L’Oreal Paris to campaign against harassment in public areas. At this summer’s festival, L’Oreal Paris has spread awareness and educated festival goers on how to react to situations where they may experience or witness harassment.

It was revealed that 80% of women in the UK have experienced sexual harassment in public spaces.

In order to combat these problems, L’Oreal Paris’ Stand Up Against Harassment programme emphasises the importance of empowering everyone to be active bystanders when seeing harassment take place.

Festival goers were able to receive free anti harassment and sign up to learn more about L’Oreal Paris’ Stand Up campaign. In addition to this, 500 employees working at the festival were also trained in Stand Up. This will allow them to identify and acknowledge all potential harassment at future events they may be employed at. All staff on site were given regular security briefings and implemented the Ask For Angela scheme in order to allow people to seek help from uncomfortable and unsafe situations discretely.

The annual festival All Points East was held in London’s Victoria Park and took place on six dates this year from August 18-19 and August 25-28.

Headliners for the festival this year included Stormzy, Jungle, Dermot Kennedy, and Haim.

The festival is held over two weekends and is a must for alternative music fans.

Having recently toured the UK, Haim will take a break from their travels this year, with this being the only European show for the sisters in 2023.

They recently made waves by bringing Taylor Swift on stage at The O2 to perform their hit song “Gasoline” as well as Swift’s “Love Story”.

Haim are set to join an already star-studded line-up for All Points East, joining Angel Olsen, Amyl and the Sniffers and The Strokes.

The festival will also include a day of music curated by Stormzy called the “This is What We Mean Day”, with Stormzy headlining this day himself. Stormzy is teaming up with APE to put together a UK exclusive show back in his hometown.
