Brothers Mike Sandison and Marcus Eoin released their first album ‘Music Has The Right To Children’ back in 1998, featuring one of their biggest songs to date ‘Roygbiv’. Here BoC introduced the world to their electronic style, or more specifically, IDM- intelligent dance music. Many describe the duos sound as psychedelic or futuristic for its unique vibrations, often accompanied by emotive videos.

BoC has been known to do cryptic campaigns to tease their music and this time they didn’t hold back. Back in 2013 the duo used a website to obscurely promote their album ‘Tomorrow’s Harvest’. This same website had become active again with a simple message noting “nobody home…” dating back to a year ago. However, anticipation for a new album arose when fans were sent mysterious VHS tapes marked with a hexagon sun logo in early April. For fans who had access to a VHS player, they reported that the audio was warped over a glitchy video. As the tapes were mailed, many traced the senders address back to locations linked to Warp Records and distributor Bleep, who BoC have previously worked with. As well as this, posters including the hexagon sun logo began popping up all over London, California, Japan and New York.

The clues didn’t stop there as the duo released a teaser video only a week ago on the 16^th of April. ‘Tape 05’ can be viewed on YouTube, containing distorted audio and visuals similar to those of the VHS tapes. While some speculate that ‘Tape 05’ is track 5 of the album, named ‘Father And Son’, some also question whether it even belongs to the album.  Additionally, a preview can also be seen on YouTube confirming their album release with indistinct and dystopian imagery.

Intrigue surrounding the pair is not from the marketing tactics alone. BoC have never gone on tour, having only played a minority of live shows which was over two decades ago. Rarely doing interviews or performing gigs makes this announcement a rare one, especially after their 13 year break.

‘Inferno’ will be available to the public in just over a month and will be ready to stream on all major platforms, or can be pre-saved now.

‘The Afterparty’ releases on the 8^th of May featuring 9 new songs which she debuted at Coachella. Li has already given fans an insight into her new project, having released ‘Lucky Again’, ‘Sick Of Love’, and ‘Knife In The Heart’ previously. The three available songs from her new album are available to stream on major platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. While Li has yet to release any music videos for ‘The Afterparty’, an acoustic rendition of ‘Lucky Again’ can be seen on YouTube. Before returning to Coachella, she can be seen singing on the street, captioning the video “on our way back to the desert x.”

The album was co-produced with Björn Yttling, who has contributed to many of her other projects such as ‘EYEEYE’ and ‘I Never Learn’. This will be the singer-songwriter’s sixth studio album, only this time alongside a 17-piece string orchestra. In an interview with Vogue she explained her process, stating “I wanted to make something super maximalist, over the top, and use every instrument I’ve ever been curious about.”

Anticipation over the unreleased album came after Li’s listening party in Los Angeles where she stated, “it is my sixth album, and maybe my final.” With confirmation by Pitchfork, fans are preparing for this to potentially be her last album. Additionally, in her interview with Vogue, she claimed “I think it’s the final album in this incarnation of myself that started out as such a young person.” However, she reassured fans “I’ll keep making music, but is it as a solo artist, where you put so much out there? Or in another form,” hinting at a new era for herself.

General sale for her stand-alone show as a part of ‘The Afterparty’ tour begins on the 24^th of April at 10am. However, O2 pre-sale begins today, on the 22^nd of April, and KOKO members can buy early tickets on the 23^rd.

The film will capture the singer’s One Night Only show, where he will perform the entirety of his latest album, ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.’  The show takes place tonight, Friday 6 March at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena. The concert film will be available to stream on Netflix Sunday 8 March.

Tonight’s show will be Styles’ first full concert in almost three years. The trailer shows the flurry of activity in preparation for the concert, while the pulsing beats of ‘Aperture’ and intercut archived crowd shows build anticipation for what is to come.

No one is more eager for Styles’ live return than his fans. Since as early as Thursday 5 March, fans have been camping outside the Co-op Live in Manchester, in hopes of snagging the best spot for Friday’s concert. These fans have come from all over the world, one fan from Florida told ITV, “I took three flights to get here – it took 30 hours – but it is the best. His music saved my life and the community he created is the best.” Another fan said, “We have been waiting for three years and I’m so excited he is back. I have been a fan since I was 12.”

Tickets for the concert were just £20 and fans will be required to lock their phones away for the event. They will be given recyclable pouches to store their phones in for the duration of the event, and any other recording devices such as cameras, smart watches and smart glasses will not be permitted. If the professionally-shot Netflix concert film was not enough compensation for this, disposable cameras will be issued to ticket holders so they may “capture your own special moments and share them after the show.”

Additionally, Styles announced screenings of One Night In Manchester in six UK cities: London, Brighton, Edinburgh, Chester, York and Liverpool. Fans must register for a chance to attend these screenings, and can do so at this link. More details of these screenings can be found compiled here.

Later this year Styles will set off on a live tour, called Together, Together. The tour will see him play residences in a series of cities, worldwide. He will spend a record-breaking 12 nights at London’s Wembley Stadium (breaking Taylor Swift’s previously held record with her 8 nights at Wembley stadium in 2024). He’ll spend a staggering 30 nights at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Those shows saw over 11.5 million pre-sale registrations. Other stops on the Together, Together tour include Amsterdam, São Paulo, Mexico City, Melbourne and Sydney.

All of this comes in support for Styles’ fourth album, ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.’  which has received four star reviews from Rolling Stone, The Independent and NME. Clash calls it “an ode to the redemptive power of the dance, to the euphoria only club culture can provide.” Critics also say the electronic, pop-leaning sound “[moves] him in a fresh direction” while the album’s through line is described as “a successful embrace of personal, and above all sensual, evolution.”

One Night in Manchester, produced by Fulwell Entertainment, will come to Netflix this Sunday, March 8. Invitations for the six UK screenings will be given on Saturday 7 March.

Unreleased and without a date confirmed, the album is expected to release in as little as three months – though it seems the singer is keen to share her new sound with her fans in the mean time.

The singer announced the upcoming release of ‘White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter’ via Instagram on February 7th, and that whilst she understands the heavy demand for the album, she wanted fans to “enjoy the single first”.

In another recent video, she talks about her getting to have a “minute to [herself] and to just enjoy one of the songs being out”, alongside a spiritual appreciation for the song’s release being on a solar eclipse and the Chinese new year of the fire horse, a clear indicator of the singer’s resonance with the album being a new beginning.

“I got a beautiful video of the solar eclipse and I started my morning with the most fiery pink and red sky, so I’m hoping to bring that energy into today, into tomorrow.”

The single released on February 17th with a self-recorded music video debuting yesterday. Written with help of her husband, sister, and brother in law, the track is a beautifully haunting fusion of Southern gothic country. The accompanying music video shows the stereotypically beautiful and romanticised “sad-girl” image of Lana through a darker, even ghostly lens – certainly alluding to a new arc in the singer’s musical aesthetic. Faithful collaborator Jack Antonoff assisted in producing this new sound, and helped to find what Lana described as “that magical chord”.

In interview with W, Lana explains the many changes made to the album since its announcement in 2024, including a name change from ‘Lasso’ then further as ‘The Right Person Will Stay’, until finally ‘Stove’ came about in August 2025. ‘Stove‘ will be the singer’s 10th studio album, and will undoubtedly endure worldwide success as did her several previous award-winning albums like ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell‘ and ‘Born to Die‘.

In the almost two years since its announcement, the album has undergone several changes and edits, including additional tracks which have contributed to its delay in release. 

Now, with new and exciting glimpses of Lana’s new era being steadily released, it seems fans can finally start to get excited about the singer’s 10th studio album.

Loyle Carner, whose stage name is a spoonerism of his given name Benjamin Coyle-Larner, continues to establish himself as one of the most distinctive voices in British hip hop. The 30-year-old rapper from Croydon is building momentum following the release of his fourth studio album ‘hopefully!’, a project that has already been met with critical acclaim and is set to anchor a worldwide tour later this year.

Carner’s reputation has long been tied to his willingness to combine vulnerable lyricism with immersive production. On ‘hopefully!’, the instrumentation is shaped by airy percussion loops, soft layers of synth ambience and lightly strummed guitar lines.

The track ‘home!’ exemplifies his approach, incorporating natural percussion textures alongside the chatter of young children to create a sonic world centered on themes of family and fatherhood. Having become a father of two in recent years, Carner reflected on the process in an interview with Junkee, stating: “I still want to celebrate my family because that’s one of the most important things in my life. It’s trying to find a way of maintaining a mystery or an abstraction as to who they are but still being able to celebrate them in a way that’s meaningful to them when they grow up and listen to it. It’s a really hard thing to navigate. I’m learning, I guess, bit by bit.”

The album’s artwork, featuring Carner’s face marked with felt-tip pen scribbles, reinforces its thematic focus on parenthood and childhood perspective. ‘hopefully!’ follows ‘hugo’ (2022), an album that drew inspiration from Carner’s complex relationship with his father and that propelled him to wider international recognition.

Carner introduced the new material on a major stage earlier this summer, premiering ‘hopefully!’ at Glastonbury alongside artists including Jorja Smith, Sampha and Ezra Collective. The performance was met with strong reception, and the album went on to reach No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart. Later in the season, he stepped in for Michael Kiwanuka at We Out Here Festival, headlining the slot to a sold-out crowd.

As his forthcoming tour approaches, Carner has confirmed a lineup of support acts reflecting his collaborative ethos. Dublin rapper Rejjie Snow will join the bill, bringing his genre-blurring style and smooth delivery. Also appearing is Brooklyn rapper and skateboarder Navy Blue, recognized for his introspective verses and textured production. French singer Léa Sen, who previously collaborated with Carner on hugo, contributes her distinctive, soulful presence, while London’s Brian Nasty offers a multi-disciplinary approach that captures the city’s restless creative energy.

Carner’s four-night residency at London’s O2 Academy Brixton this November sold out immediately, underscoring the continued growth of his audience. Following the UK performances, he will bring hopefully! to stages across North America and Australia. In keeping with the family themes that underpin the album, Carner has expressed a desire to have his children join him on portions of the tour, a gesture that reflects the personal experiences at the core of his latest work.

The band have been vague in their discussion of the album, as they refer to themselves as ‘pop’ artists at every opportunity, yet ‘deathmetal’ remains in their Instagram handle. Panchiko have continued this ambiguity with ‘Ginkgo’, referring to the project as a ‘pop music album’ and answering a fan’s comment asking what genre the album is with ‘not sure!’. 

Panchiko have teased this release with music videos for singles ‘Ginkgo’, ‘Shandy in the graveyard’, ‘Honeycomb’ ‘Mac’s Omelette’ and the latest which was released on the same day as their album, ‘Chapel of Salt’.

Panchiko, formed in 1998 originally consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Owain Davies, guitarist and keyboardist Andrew Wright, bassist Shaun Ferreday, and drummer, John. The band released the cult classic rock EP ‘D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L’ in 2000 before an abrupt split. ‘D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L’ was originally created with only 30 physical copies, and was later made popular by an online following who had discovered the album and uploaded it onto YouTube.

The band reunited in 2020 with the release of their second album ‘Failed at Math(s)’, an indie-rock trip hop experiment with new guitarist Rob Harris and drummer John Schofield. After 23 years since the band had collaborated they spoke about their writing process in an interview with FLOOD magazine, sharing that they attempted to recreate their old writing conditions as teens “sat on the sofa, surrounded by snacks, games consoles; music machines were sampled, lyrics mumbled, and three chord progressions were strummed over drum loops and blips and bloops.”

Fans were thrilled with the release and its bold uniqueness that was true to their earlier style.

Panchiko have now returned once again with new album ‘Ginkgo’, a thirteen track lo-fi blend of shoe-gaze and classic rock influence. 

Many have posted recordings of the band’s performance of new tracks from their UK/EU tour in the leadup to the release of ‘Ginkgo’ , such as fan favourite ‘Chapel of salt’. Here, fans also share their excitement and love for the band.

Although this UK tour has concluded, Panchiko will continue dates in the US and will be performing two shows at this year’s Record Store Day at Rough Trade East and Rough Trade Nottingham with tickets are available on their website. 

Panchiko also announced their involvement in the Pitchfork Music Festival in London where they will perform in November amongst notable names such as ‘Indigo De Souza’, ‘underscores’, and ‘hey, nothing’.

The singer was beaming throughout his performance, as shown in a video clip that went viral on X. Fans were shocked by his impromptu performance, taking to social media to express their amazement and post clips of the secret gig.

Following this surprise performance, fans also began to speculate that the gig was being used as promotion for a potential upcoming album, going as far to say that it was ‘imminent’.

After his performance of Pink Pony Club, Sheeran removed his disguise to reveal his cheerful face to the audience as well as that of his duet partner Jimmy Fallon. The performance was discovered to have been filmed as a segment for the artist’s appearance on Fallon’s talk show The Tonight Show.  The artist has been in the public eye this past week with his open letter to Prime Minister Keir Starmer urging the UK government to invest £250m in music education. On The Tonight Show, Sheeran talks about his creative process, showing his passion for creativity which aligns with this current effort. Here, he also reveals the title of his new album, which will be called ‘Play’, and discusses the Persian influences for his upcoming song ‘Azizam’ which debuted in New Orleans. This has since been given a confirmed release date of April 4. On the show, the artist also sings another new unreleased song titled ‘Old Phone’.

Sheeran is very familiar with the art of busking, having done so when he moved to London in 2008 at the age of 18 and since using busking performances to promote new music and appearances in major cities. His first album ‘+’  showcased this acoustic, busking influence with hits such as ‘The A Team’, which he has since re-released as a live track on album ‘+-=÷x (Tour Collection: Live). With this public stunt, the artist pays tribute to these performances and could be hinting at more acoustic bangers to come. This is especially pertinent with the familiar folky, sombre feel of his new track ‘Old Phone’, reminiscent of his early music. 

The Backfires have built their reputation on the road, touring extensively with acts such as The Courteeners, The Criticals, and Phoneboy. Sharing stages with these well-established bands has undoubtedly left its mark on The Backfires, but their sound remains uniquely their own. While the influence of their contemporaries is evident, The Backfires never fall into the trap of imitation. Strategy features Twice’s signature catchy sound whilst exploring a new, more mature sound. The addition of Megan Thee Stallion, in what is Twice’s first ever lead single featuring another artist, is seamless – her vibe and sound fitting the song perfectly, still bringing a rap that is inherently what she’s known for.

Twice are a nine member Korean girl group formed through the survival television show “Sixteen” and created by JinYoung Park, founder of Korean entertainment company JYP Entertainment. The members in age order are Im Nayeon, Yoo Jeongyeon, Hirai Momo, Minatozaki Sana, Park Jihyo, Myoui Mina, Kim Dahyun, Son Chaeyoung and Chou Tzuyu. After a successful debut with debut mini-album “The Story Begins” and lead single “Like OOH-AHH”, Twice solidified their status in Korea with the release of their second mini album “Page Two” and the viral hit “Cheer UP”. The song was their first PAK (Perfect All Kill, a term used when a song reaches number one on all of the popular real time charts in real time) and produced the viral “Shy Shy Shy” meme. The achieved the same with lead singles “TT” (2016), “Knock Knock” (2017) and “Yes or Yes” (2018). The group have an extensive discography in both Korean and Japanese, boasting 14 Korean mini albums and three full albums and five full Japanese albums.

Twice have conquered the South Korean and Japanese music scene for ten years at this point, and they’re already record breakers in the US. For their most recent tour, “Ready To Be World Tour”, they performed to sold out crowds in London’s O2 Arena, marking the first shows they ever performed in Europe.

With their success in their home country, and the home country of Japanese members, Momo, Sana and Mina, and the success in the US in recent years, the group undertake promotions in all three countries for album releases. Their newest release, “Strategy” marks their first English title track, hinting at their marketing towards a more global music market, and bringing in Megan Thee Stallion for their second collaboration (the first being Twice’s feature on the Mamushi remix released earlier this year), will they achieve their highest charting song in the UK so far? Up to now they featured heavily on the official albums download chart with eleven entries since 2019, but have not yet had a top ten entry into the official UK singles chart. Megan Thee Stallion has featured on the Hip Hop and R&B charts and the album charts with a top 40 album, and this year had the viral song “Mamushi feat Yuki Chiba”.

An anomaly, as a group so active in their tenth year, Twice do not look like they’re slowing down. Just this year they’ve had three group releases and multiple solo works and subunit activities for Japanese member trio MISAMO.

They’re heavyweights in the music markets of South Korea, Japan and the US, play to sold out audiences in almost every continent in the world, and they’re simply masters of performance. They’re known for the synchronised in their dancing , catchy lyrics, powerful vocals and smooth rapping that fits their style. But will this translate to higher levels of success in the UK music scene?

After their albums release on Friday (December 6), the album and all of the songs from it have featured on UK iTunes chart. As of December 7, “Strategy” was no.1 on Korea’s real time daily physical albums chart (Hanteo), beating “Rosie“, by Rosé, which was highly anticipated and released on the same day. Will they finally have their big break in the UK music charts?

Kendrick Lamar is a 37 year old, American rapper from Compton, California. With a career beginning in high school, he signed with Top Dawg Entertainment where he founded a group called Black Hippy in 2008. Following a successful album, he then signed with Interscope and Aftermath Entertainment, a company created by Dr Dre. He rose to prominence in 2012 with the release of his second album “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City”. He was ranked as the 9th greatest rapper of all time by Billboard in 2015, and then he was ranked at number two by Billboard in an updated list in 2023. In 2018 he received the Pulitzer Prize for Music, making him the first in his genre to do so.

Kendrick Lamar’s first album entry in the UK charts was the 2015 release “To Pimp a Butterfly”. He also has five top ten albums with another making it to the top 40. Though he has yet to receive a UK number one single, he has ten top ten entries and 25 top 40 entries, including the 2015 collaboration “Bad Blood” with Taylor Swift and collaborations with the WEEKND, Sia, Beyonce, and Maroon 5. His songs “Euphoria” and “Not Like Us” reached number 4 and 11 respectively. 

His newest album release “GNX” was an unpromoted, surprise album released last Friday, charting at number 1 on the chart on 29 November. Three songs from the album occupy spots 4, 5 and 6 on the official single charts for the period 29 November – 5 December. These songs are ‘Squabble Up’ (4), ‘Luther’ (5) and ‘TV On’ (6), topped only by a top three that have each been in the chart for over a month already. The album is a West Coast hip-hop album that seamlessly blends multiple genres, including both classical and contemporary hip hop as well as g-funk, R&B vocals and soul. 

After a year full of diss tracks and conflict with Drake (a conflict which resulted in the release of Lamar’s track “Not Like Us”) Kendrick Lamar released an album that NME said “showed the world that he would die for his pride in the scathing battle, igniting the fearless insolence that seeps into his latest album”. NME, who also called Lamar this year’s rap MVP, rating the album five stars, said “Lamar channels what could be interpreted as hate and negativity into a teachable moment, leading you to draw upon the purest emotion known to man: love. In a year that started with so much venom, Kendrick Lamar shares the antidote on ‘GNX’.”

No matter what, the one thing that all reviews seem to have in common is that “GNX” is a statement, one that Lamar didn’t feel the need to promote because he simply knew the world would listen – all of the reviews and his standings on the chart are a testament to that.
