As well as this, they have also announced select UK events for this year in November, in London, Nottingham and Kingston.

Any remaining tickets can be found here.

UK 2025 Events:

November 5 – Nottingham – The Palais

November 6 – Kingston – Circuit

As well as announcing the huge new tour dates for next year, last week they also shared a new single called ‘Telephone Busy’ which will be on their new album.

This song follows on from their other recent release ‘Boyband’. In keeping with the theme of the album, it will see them experiment with a more playful sound than what fans might be used to.

Earlier this month, 5 Seconds Of Summer also shared the official video for their lead single ‘NOT OK’, and was the first song of their highly anticipated sixth album. The record is also their first new music since 2022.

Since 2022, Luke Hemmings went on a solo tour, which saw him perform across the UK, Europe and North America last year, and guitarist Michael Clifford has released his debut solo single ‘Cool’.

Calum Hood also released solo material, following drummer Ashton Irwin’s record in 2020 ‘Superbloom’, and Luke Hemmings’ album ‘When Facing The Things We Turn Away From’ (released in 2021).

5SOS’ debut self-titled album (released in 2014) topped the UK Albums Charts, making them one of the few Australian acts to achieve this.

Albums following this including, ‘Sounds Good Feels Good’ (released in 2015), ‘Youngblood’ (released in 2018), ‘Calm’ (released in 2020), and ‘5S0S5′ (released in 2022), all entered the UK top five, with ‘Youngblood’ earning multi-platinum certifications and the title track becoming a major UK hit.

The band has also sold out major UK venues, including London’s O2 Arena, and Wembley Arena, as well as performing at major UK festivals such as the Capital FM Summertime Ball.

Tickets are on sale now for their UK shows next year and can be purchased here.

This will be the band’s most ambitious tour yet, aiming to pack the best of their 5 albums into one show.
In addition to their tour announcement, the band also revealed their plans to release a live album this month. The Feeling of Falling Upwards – Live from The Royal Albert Hall will be released digitally on 14th April 2023. Physical copies of the album will be made available for purchase on 14th July 2023. The live album was recorded during a one-night-only show in 2022 in which the band performed alongside a 12-piece string orchestra and a 12-member gospel choir.

The show at The Royal Albert Hall included a mix of their biggest hits spanning their 5 albums, as well as some deeper album tracks for their true fans, with this being a particularly special venue for the group. 5SOS shared that they busked outside the venue when they first moved to the UK to write their first album 10 years ago.

On stage, drummer Ashton Irwin said, “‘The Feeling of Falling Upwards’ is simply supposed to describe to you the feeling that we have experienced together, the feeling of taking a leap of faith on such a fickle thing like music and sharing this experience together year after year, season after season of our lives.”

The tracklist for The Feeling of Falling Upwards – Live from The Royal Albert Hall is below:

1. OVERTURE
2. COMPLETE MESS
3. CAROUSEL

The Official UK charts have confirmed this week’s number one album, 5 Seconds Of Summer’s new album 5SOS5, has secured the top spot on this week’s chart. After going head-to-head with Lap 5 by D-Block Europe, the group bagged their third UK number one album with a gap of only 1,300 chart sales. The Australian pop-rockers first gained a UK number one with their 2015 album Sounds Good Feels Good, 5 Seconds Of Summer, then topped the charts for the second time in 2020 with CALM.

Speaking on their win from L.A, 5 Seconds of Summer have stated, “What’s up, UK! We did it! We’re the f*cking Number 1 album! We honestly just can’t believe it. Thank you everyone, so much. We love you. You’re amazing. I’m going to cry now.“

Consisting of members Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford, the group’s fifth studio album garnered great success within multiple charts. It has been confirmed that the release’s highly profitable week consisted of 78% physical sales, becoming this week’s most physically purchased record as well as the most downloaded album within the UK.

The band’s recent album was released on 23rd September 2022 via BMG Rights Management; work began on 5SOS5 immediately after the release of CALM. The album’s existence and release were announced during the band’s Take My Hand World Tour, held across the Summer this year; the band performed the singles “Easy For You To Say” and “Blender” for the first time live. The hitmakers proceeded the album’s launch with the singles “Complete Mess“, “Taken My Hand“, “Me Myself & I“, “Blender“, and “Older“.

Elsewhere within this week’s UK album charts, Lap 5 by D-Block Europe places in second place. The British hip hop collective last landed within the UK album chart’s top 5 in 2020 with The Blue Print: Us vs Them; the release marked their first studio album but was preceded by multiple mixtapes. The group’s recent release has been named this week’s most streamed album and marks their seventh release to break into the top 40 and third UK top 5; D-Block Europe first entered the top 5 with their 2019 mixtape PTSD, which reached number four.

Landing at number three this week is Gulp! by Sports Team; the British alt-rockers released the album on 23rd September 2022. Marking their second studio album, Gulp! is the band’s first entry into the top 3 and has been named this week’s number one record on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart as well as the Official Record Store Chart. The band’s recent album comes two years after the release of their debut album Deep Down Happy; the album dropped in 2020 and entered a chart battle with Lady GaGa’s All Time Low, Sports Team’s first chart entry positioned at number two.

5 Seconds of Summer has announced the postponement of their ‘No Shame‘ UK Tour to April 2021. All dates were previously scheduled to kick off this month, with seven shows in big cities across the country. The band took to their social media, giving out the news and apologising for pushing back their shows.

The Australian pop rock phenomenon firstly sent out their love and care for all fans around the world during this difficult time of quarantine. They also thanked everyone who supported their latest album, ‘CALM‘, as they said, “To see the support that you’ve given has made us really appreciate how lucky we are to have the best fan in the world.”

However, the four-piece imparted bad news about the necessity to reschedule all tour dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic: “For the safety of all involved and following government action, these shows are no longer safe to play and therefore the UK & European No Shame Tour will be rescheduled for April/May 2021.”

The “She Looks So Perfect” hitmaker also encouraged everyone to “work together to beat this virus“. They added, “We are so grateful to anyone who purchased a ticket. Please hold on to them for the rescheduled headline dates in 2021.” See the full statement from the tweet below.

Back in March, 5SOS unveiled their fourth studio ‘CALM‘. The album debuted atop the UK Albums Chart, marking the band’s second number-one album in the country, with their sophomore record ‘Sounds Good Feels Good‘ as the first one to hit the summit in 2015.

The record is a follow-up to 2019’s pop-leaning album ‘Youngblood‘. “Easier” is cut off as the lead single, followed by “Teeth“, “No Shame“, “Old Me“, and “Wallflower“. All songs from ‘CALM‘ saw the band perfect their pop sound into their punk rock signature, which received positive reviews from leading music critics with the likes of Billboard, Clash, and The Line of Best Fit.

Australian pop-rock darlings released their third studio album “Youngblood” last week, and with it broke a slew of new records.

In the week since its release, Billboard estimate that it moved 142,000 album units, causing it to rise to the top of the Billboard 100. Of those 142,000 units, 117,000 were in traditional album sales. Those numbers put “Youngblood” ahead of two records by the late XXXTentacion, and The Carters’ (the name given to Beyonce and Jay-Z’s newest musical collaboration) debut album.

5 Seconds Of Summer, or 5SOS as they are affectionately known, have had two albums previously debut at number one at the charts: their self-titled debut “5 Seconds Of Summer” in 2014, and their follow-up “Sounds Good Feels Good” in 2015. They are the first Australian act ever to have three albums reach the top spot on the Billboard chart.

In addition to being the first Australian band to earn three number one titles, they are now also the first band ever to have their first three albums reach number one on the charts in the US. They are also the first artist ever to reach the number one spot when competing with a new Beyonce release.
