The American singer songwriter St Vincent recently announced headline dates across the UK and Europe. Her ‘All Born Screaming’ tour will take her to Dublin, Manchester, Barcelona, Madrid, and Milan this October.

Her additional European dates come hot on the heels of her extremely successful tour across the United States and Europe, and her sold out show at the Royal Albert Hall in London earlier this month. Now she is continuing her tour in Europe, and the presale for her new dates begins Tuesday 25th June at 10am, and general onsale begins Friday 28th June at 10am, and you can find tickets here.

The tour is in support of her most recent album ‘All Born Screaming’ that was released in April earlier this year. The eponymous, fan-loved track features Cate Le Bon, whose name is a tribute to Duran Duran’s frontman Simon Le Bon. St Vincent’s new ten track album follows her last album ‘The Nowhere Inn’, released in 2021, and ‘Daddy’s Home’, which was also released in 2021.

Since her debut album in 2007 with ‘Marry Me’, St Vincent has become a much loved character of the orchestral indie-pop genre, and she has been listed among the best guitarists of the 21st century by multiple publications, including Rolling Stone, who placed her 26th in their ranking, above Eric Clapton, Neil Young and Brian May.

Before her adventure into the world as a solo artist, St Vincent was a member of the Polyphronic Spree, a coral rock band from Dallas, however she left in 2006 and formed her own band after being a member of Sufjan Stevens’ touring band. She then continued to grow to fame as a solo artist, and in 2009 made ‘Rosyln’ with Bon Iver for Twilight New Moon.

Across her discography, she delves into a range of genres and emotions and is renown as a musical shapeshifter, as ‘Marry Me’ embodies orchestral indie-pop, and in 2017 with ‘Masseduction’, she moved on to glam rock, before including 70s psychedelic rock in her 2021 album ‘Daddy’s Home’.

Fans can watch her eclectic performance this Autumn as she traverses across the USA and Europe, telling NME that she’s “gonna f**k ‘em up”. If you’re wondering what to expect, then you can watch the video below of St Vincent performing at her sold out show at the Royal Albert Hall.

The support for Robbie Williams’ huge show at BST Hyde Park next month has been announced, and it includes the soft rock duo, SOFT PLAY. The performance comes only two weeks before they release their first album in six years, ‘HEAVY JELLY’. The album is set to be released July 19th, and has caused a huge stir as they noted their inspiration to produce heavier rock music.

In recent years, the band have undergone a huge transformation, as they changed their name from ‘Slaves’ to ‘SOFT PLAY’ in 2022 as they wanted to abandon the connotations that followed their previous name, and HEAVY JELLY is the first album they will release under this new name. Their new album is suggested to accommodate this change as it includes nu-metal influences. The two piece have taken to social media to express their excitement, saying that they are “proud fathers”. You can read more about their new album on mxdwn here.

Their new album adds to their excitement for this year, as they have numerous performances lined up at festivals such as Glastonbury, Y Not, Truck festival, Tramlines, Boardmasters, Bludfest, and Victorious festival, alongside their own tour. Additionally, they are supporting Robbie Williams on Saturday 6th July at his sold out headline show at the annual BST Hyde Park. They are joining Seal, Gaz Coombes, Kate Nash, and Shaun Ryder’s Black Grape.

The tour for their new album begins in October 15th in Brighton, and takes them across the UK to Cardiff, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham, Norwich, and London. Tickets are on sale now, with some dates already sold out. You can find any remaining tickets for the highly demanded tour here.

So far this year, they have been building up the release of their new album and released four singles at the beginning of June, ‘Everything and Nothing’, ‘Act Violently’, ‘Mirror Muscles’, and ‘Punk’s Dead’, all of which will be found on their new 11 track album, which you can pre-order in all formats here.

Since the duo’s formation in 2012 on a residential street in Stoke-on-Trent, they have been on an extremely wild journey, with Isaac, the vocalist and drummer, having personal issues in 2019, leading to their tour for their last album ‘Acts Of Fear And Love’, being cancelled. Their situation then worsened as Laurie’s partner passed away from cancer in 2020, resulting in their almost five year hiatus. However, it was the iconic Blur that reunited the pair as an opportunity to support Blur arose, and the duo began talking, and, despite not getting the gig, started making music together again, and HEAVY JELLY is the product of this journey the two have been on both together and individually. The two are now stronger than ever, calling themselves “brothers” when talking to Kerrang!.

As well as supporting the Foo Fighters, Amyl and the Sniffers have just announced a bunch of UK headline shows, along with support from Lambrini Girls.

It’s safe to say that Amyl and the Sniffers have an exciting summer planned. The punks, who hail from Australia, were already set to support the revered Foo Fighters in several stadiums across the pond, and now they have added a bunch of headline shows of their own with support coming from the always incredible Lambrini Girls. (announcing their slot, LG simply wrote: “Touring North America this summer supporting @amylandthesniffers yum yum handburger time”).

Amyl and the Sniffers will be joining Dave Grohl and co. at various dates throughout July and August in New York, Boston, Hershey and Los Angeles, and around those shows, you can also catch them everywhere from Detroit to San Diego.

Amyl and the Sniffers are an Australian pub rock and punk rock band based in Melbourne, consisting of vocalist Amy Taylor, drummer Bryce Wilson, guitarist Declan Martens, and bassist Gus Romer. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2019, their self-titled debut record won the Best Rock Album category.

This caption was taken from The Lambrini Girls Bandcamp: ‘Imagine your nan is in the boot of your car with a croissant in her mouth and hears bikini kill for the first time. That could be you. It will never be us as we are not bikini kill and we are not your nan. We are Lambrini Girls. Bon appetite xoxox’

If you are a fan of fast-paced, female-fronted punk rock, then this US tour is the tour for you.

British rock band You Me At Six recently shocked fans with the news of their disbandment. The quintet took to social media on Wednesday January 31st to drop the bomb that they will be hitting the road one last time with a world tour scheduled for later this year. The tour will roll over into 2025, which poetically coincides with the band’s 20th anniversary. Front man Josh Franceschi stated in a press release that the milestone of 2 decades “has always been [their] finish line”.

After releasing a suitably emo video statement filmed in a graveyard, You Me At Six announced that the time has come for them to bid farewell to the band. However, after keeping this a secret for some time, Franceschi told BBC “I’m grateful that we’re in a position where we can celebrate, in real time, with our fans.”

Throughout their career, the “Stay With Me” singers have released 8 studio albums, 2 of which (2014’s Cavalier Youth and 2021’s SUCKAPUNCH) reaching number 1 status, toured extensively and received glowing recognition through a variety of awards. These accomplishments have not gone amiss with the band members, as frontman Franceschi told NME “The thing that mattered the most is longevity, getting closer and closer to that 20 year mark. We don’t need this band for self-indulgent reasons. We’re all really satisfied with what we’ve done, let’s just tie a nice little ribbon or bow around it. You don’t want to be the last ones hanging around at the party. We want to be a band that bowed out, not one that was kicked out.”

When asked about plans for their upcoming farewell tour, the 33-year-old stated “We’ve worked out that our final gig is going to be 20 years to the day since our first ever band practice, which is wild. It wasn’t even deliberate.” However, fans will have to be patient for any more information regarding the tour, as dates are set to be announce in “a couple of months”.

Whilst dates for You Me At Six’s final tour are still unknown, you can ensure you receive information regarding the upcoming shows by signing up here.

2024 is set to be a huge year for live music in Wales. In the past, it seemed as though big artists touring the UK would have shows in England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, however; Wales occasionally failed to make the cut. Much to the delight of Welsh music fans, this all seems to be changing in 2024. Preparations are well underway for a colossal summer of shows in Wales, including Taylor Swift bringing her legendary Eras Tour to Cardiff.

Radio 1 presenter Sam MacGregor told BBC: “There has been a history of people who, when they have done a UK tour or European tour, have missed off Wales. But it’s exciting to see artists are starting to change that perception. And if people like Taylor Swift, the biggest artist in the world right now, can come to Cardiff, they why can’t some of the smaller or medium scale artists come?”

Fans had been eagerly awaiting information regarding Swift’s upcoming tour, and when the 34-year-old announced what cities she, along with support from American rock band Paramore, would be visiting, many were ecstatic to discover the singer would be hitting Cardiff this summer. The “Anti-Hero” singer will be playing Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on June 18, her only Welsh date for the entire tour.

Really can’t contain my excitement because… we’re adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour. And I get to travel the world doing shows with @paramore!! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m… pic.twitter.com/kl1aijxR2o

Taylor Swift isn’t the only superstar to be performing in Cardiff this summer, as the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Billy Joel, and Pink will be performing at the Principality Stadium, giving Wales an unforgettable summer of live music.

Emily Cotterill from FOR Cardiff, a group representing businesses in the city centre, believes each event is a big opportunity. She said: “We want people who have maybe come to Cardiff once for a gig to think ‘we want to go back and spend a weekend’. Lots of the time, especially with these big names, they are a reason to come here for the first time and then it’s up to us to help those people come back for a second, third or fourth time.”

Frontman Perry Farrell issued a statement on Instagram expressing his joy on performing for the first time in eight years in the UK and Europe, saying, “Tonight, the Jane’s camp is over the moon, as we’re finally able to announce UK, European headline and festival shows. It has been far too long – my Janes Addiction family! We can’t wait to see your faces again, (well look at you).. singing songs, and soaring to the moon in a new rocket. Togetherness – roll on 2024!”

Jane’s Addiction formed in Los Angeles in 1985 with an original lineup consisting of Perry Farrell on lead vocals, Dave Navarro on guitar, Eric Avery on bass and Stephen Perkins on drums. They burst onto the American alternative rock scene with their self-title live album Jane’s Addiction in 1987, and, after signing with Warner Bros., released their debut studio album, Nothing’s Shocking, in 1988 to widespread critical acclaim. Their second release, Ritual de lo Habitual (1990), furthered their growing domination of the alternative rock movement in the US and helped garner a significant cult following.

The tour will take place in early March next year starting at the AO Arena in Manchester and will end at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham.

The singer announced on his Instagram: “The CHAMPAGNE & ROSES TOUR is going overseas! Excited to be hitting Europe & the UK with my brother @marioworldwide in 2024! Tickets go on sale 11/24!”

Ne-Yo, also known by his birth name Shaffer Chimere Smith, was born in Arkansas to two African-American parents. Both his parents were musicians, but was raised by his mother in Las Vegas, Nevada after she separated from his father. While he was at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, Ne-Yo joined an R&B group named Envy. However, the group disbanded in 2000.

The American songwriter began to gain recognition when he wrote Mario’s hit single “Let Me Love You”. According to the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade Chart in 2009, the song was the eighth most successful single of the decade. The song ranked number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and held that position for nine weeks. After the success of “Let Me Love You”, Ne-Yo had a meeting with the American multinational record label Def Jam. He was eventually signed by Jay-Z, the then-CEO of the label.

In 2006, Ne-Yo released his debut album titled In My Own Words. The album consisted of thirteen tracks including songs such as “So Sick”, “When You’re Mad”, “It Just Ain’t Right”, and “Sexy Love”. Ne-Yo worked with a number of musicians on the album inlcuding Ron “Nef-U” Feemster, Brandon Howard, Shea Taylor, and Curtis “Sauce” Wilson. Rappers Peedi Peedi and Ghostface Killah also feature on songs in the album.

The album was positively received and earned a Grammy Award nomination in the Best Contemporary R&B Album category. Furthermore, In My Own Words debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and became a platinum-seller in Australia, Japan, and the United Kingdom. In August 2006, Ne-Yo went on tour with Chris Brown and Dem Franchize Boyz.

Last year, Ne-Yo released his ninth studio album Self Explanatory. The album debuted at number 184 on the US Billboard 200 which is his lowest charting album in the country. The album contains thirteen tracks with features from Jeremih, Trippie Redd, and Yung Bleu. Self Explanatory is available to listen on all platforms.

Punk band The Damned have announced that original drummer Rat Scabies will rejoin the band and will join them on their upcoming ‘The Damned‘ 2024 UK tour. The tour will commence late next year in Newcastle on December 4th and will conclude in the band’s home city of London on December 18th.

The return of Rat Scabies, who replaces Will Taylor who left the band earlier this month, completes a line-up that has not performed together in a live setting since 1989, a full 35 years next December. The full line-up consists of lead singer Dave Vanian, who remains the only ever-present member of the group, guitarist Captain Sensible, bassist Paul Gray and, of course, drummer Rat Scabies.

The tour, according to a post on X, will feature songs from The Black Album and Strawberries, along with “all the classics and some surprises!”. Fans of the cult punk and gothic rock outfit would be correct in being excited about what “surprises” might lay in store for next year’s tour, and may even expect brand new material given the tour will not kick off for another 13 months, possibly allowing the band time to creatively conjure up some new tracks.

Listen to “Neat Neat Neat“, a track from The Damned’s debut album, Damned Damned Damned, below:

The Damned, a London-based band formed in 1976, made a significant impact on the music scene with the release of their debut album, Damned Damned Damned, in 1977. They have gone on to cultivate a strong cult following as they transitioned from a raw punk style in the late 70s to a darker gothic approach in the 80s. The group have gone on to release a total of 12 albums, the latest of which, Darkadelic, was released earlier this year in April via earMUSIC.
