The 50-date tour features 21 dates in Europe and 4 in the UK.

Fans of the rapper were left speculating when he posted a countdown with the caption “20 years later” on his Instagram on the 3rd May. 50 Cent announced the tour on the next day relieving the suspense with the caption, “You’ve waited long enough!”. He added, “I’m hittin’ the globe on this one, making stops across North America and Europe including Toronto, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Houston, Amsterdam, Oslo, Paris, and many more”.

The Final Lap Tour will kick off in July this summer in Salt Lake City with 50 Cent playing across the United States and Canada until mid-September. The rapper will then resume his tour 11 days in Amsterdam and play throughout Europe before finishing the tour in the UK in November.

Supporting 50 Cent across all dates will be his long-time friend Busta Rhymes and on all North American dates will be Chicago-based hip hop artist Jeremih. More guests are to be announced.

Tickets for Europe and UK dates will be available on local presale at 10 am local time on Wednesday 10th May. Tickets will be on sale to the general public at 10 am local time on Friday 12th May. For more information and tickets see here.

The best-selling album of 2003, 50 Cent put gangsta rap back in style with his effortless charm and heaps of swagger on his debut. Get Rich or Die Tryin’ was released on the 6th February 2003 via Interscope, Dr Dre’s Aftermath, Eminem’s Shady, and 50’s own label G-Unit. The record was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 46th Grammys, won Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album at the 2003 American Music Awards, and Top Billboard 200 Album at the 2003 Billboard Music Awards. Numerous publications have listed it as one of the best records of the noughties with Rolling Stone placing it at number 280 on their 500 Greatest Albums of All Time List.

It’s been a year since 50 Cent performed in the UK. Last June, the rapper played in Manchester, Edinburgh, and London as part of his Green Light Gang World Tour.

Last year, 50 collaborated with Lil Durk and Jermih on the single “Power Powder Respect”. The Rapper has not released an album since his fifth LP, 2014’s Animal Ambition. Fans are speculating that the title of his tour indicates this may be 50’s final tour before he steps back from music.

The legendary industrial metal act Ministry has pulled the plug on all of its touring commitments in Europe. The band’s 2022 European tour was supposed to run from October 28th to December 1st, with opening acts The 69 Eyes and Wednesday 13 but unfortunately the band has cancelled their plans.

Prices are continuing to soar for everything in this current climate, from food to shipping to tour buses this has meant bands have either had to rethink their touring obligations or just cancel entire legs of their tours altogether. It has affected other major bands such as Anthrax as well as many other acts. The band shared news of the cancellation via a statement on their social media which read “Due to previously unforeseen circumstances, including the recent cancelation of a festival, we are forced to cancel our fall Europe tour. Hope to see you all next summer. We’re sorry, and we’re here to answer any questions you guys have.” You can view the post in full below.

https://t.co/nds1dasExF#MinistryBand #WeAreMinistry #Ministry pic.twitter.com/KJlbi53ANj

— Ministry (@WeAreMinistry) October 3, 2022

News about the tour cancellation first came from organizers of the Damnation Festival in a Facebook post on the event’s official page, organizers said they had just received word that things were not going to go as planned. A post on the Facebook page for Damnation Festival stated:

“We’ve just been told, literally minutes ago by e-mail, that Ministry have cancelled their entire European tour due to a festival they were due to play on that run being cancelled without any warning. This is obviously a huge blow to Damnation, albeit not one that will have any impact on it taking place in Manchester in November. We haven’t really had a chance to digest the news, or even start to consider a replacement as yet, but we didn’t want our fans to find out via third parties, or worse, have Ministry fans buying tickets tonight when we know they won’t be playing.”

Hopefully this isn’t a continuing trend for much longer as fuel prices surely cant keep rising and Covid slowly becomes a distant memory otherwise it will be a long wait till we see some international bands arrive on our shores as even some bigger acts have struggled so it may be next to impossible for some of the smaller bands.

Following the release of her 2021 debut album, You Signed Up For This. Masie Peters has joined forces with Matt Maltese for a special new version of “Cate’s Brother”. Peters is currently midway through the extensive UK and European stadium tour in support of Ed Sheeran.

The new version sees a much more stripped back imagining of the previously upbeat and rebellious hit. Featuring the pensive melodic stylings of Matt Maltese on the piano and an overall more confessional tone. In this case, Maltese formed a duet to complete this tender teenage love story. When announcing the new track, Peters declared; “Matt became Cate’s brother and I can think of no one better suited to the job we are excited for u to hear it,”.

Have a listen to the new version of “Cate’s Brother” in the video down below:

For her hit debut album, Peters was signed by Gingerbread Man Records which is owned by none other than Ed Sheeran. Peters confessed a long-time admiration for the globe conquering artist, stating; “Signing to Gingerbread is a dream come true,” Peters said in a statement. “I grew up inspired and in awe of Ed, like many other 13-year-olds who heard ‘Lego House’ for the first time, so it’s kind of amazing and hard to believe that I get to be the 21-year-old who is able to call him and the whole Gingerbread team now friends, family and mentors for life.”

With over 4 million monthly listeners tuning in to stream the 22-year-old singer, Ed Sheeran sang her praises, saying; “She’s a very special artist who continues to push her storytelling in new directions, we had a few great writing sessions together and from there I knew I had to work with her.”

However, this isn’t the only instance of a whopping celebrity endorsement for young Masie Peters. Taylor Swift exclaimed; “My ears have been blessed” in regards to this budding talent.

PVRIS have postponed their upcoming UK and European tour shifting its starting point from later in April till next year in January. The nine-month delay is due to the band focusing on their next album. Frontwoman Lynn Gunn confirmed that the album is officially “in progress” in a statement shared today (April 5th) on their social media pages. The statement explains that the tour was “meant to be accompanied by a brand new PVRIS album”, but up to this point, she and her bandmates had been held back by “the unlimited amount of obstacles and setbacks brought on from the pandemic”.

The American multi-instrumentalist cited the label’s “lack of space, lack of time, lack of budget and conflict of priorities/interest regarding the PVRIS brand and community”, and said that as a result, it became “nearly impossible to have this album written, recorded, conceptualized, up to standard and ready for your consumption by the time of this tour”. She then went on to say PVRIS “is now free to move forward into this next chapter”, Gunn continued: “I never want to compromise the creative quality or integrity of our music and visuals. This is something that unfortunately had to be done too many times on this past album cycle (we gave it our best despite the circumstances). I refuse to do that moving forward. PVRIS deserves better and you deserve better, as you are the sole reason we get to do what we do.” You can view the full post and the band’s statement below.

American experimental pop group Animal Collective have announced their upcoming UK and European tour alongside the release of a new single. The tour will follow on from a spring US tour; the band will hit the road across UK and Europe, beginning on November 2nd at Dolan’s in Limerick, Ireland. They will then call in at venues in Dublin, Bristol, Manchester and Glasgow before heading across to mainland Europe for a run of dates that will wrap up on November 27th in Cologne.

On top of the announcement of their tour dates, Animal Collective have also shared the third track from their upcoming album following on from recent singles “Prester John” and “Walker” a tribute track to famous singer Scott Walker of The Walker Brothers who died around the time of the track’s writing (March 2019). Now they have released “Strung With Everything” an experimental, psychedelia-inspired record that runs at just under seven minutes. The track also comes alongside a colourful somewhat psychedelic animated video directed by Abby Portner.

Portner discussed her work with the band on the video, she said: “Recently for Animal Collective’s live shows I have been designing and animating all of the video content out of cut paper. I have been editing together symbols and coloured static silhouettes that match the music’s feeling and rhythm. The videos are like pictographs that tell a story organically and simply. For the ‘Strung With Everything’ video we wanted to continue with this process to match the style of the band’s live shows in a music video.”

MØ has postponed her UK and EU tour as a result of restrictions brought on by COVID-19. The Danish musician- whose real name is Karen Marie Aagaard Ørsted Andersen- was meant to tour the UK and EU in February and April, but due to the coronavirus, these dates have now been pushed back to May 2022.

In a tweet, Anderson wrote: “Due to increasing Covid restrictions, we are postponing the EU/UK tour to May. Tickets are valid for the new dates, refunds available at point of purchase.”

The artist went on to explain that her US tour dates would stay the same.

Fans will likely get to hear her latest hits such as “Kindness” and “Live To Survive” which were released earlier this year. Along with those releases the musician also revealed that her third album Motordrome will be released on January 28, 2022, so it is likely many of the tracks from that album will also be featured in the tour.

Motordrome is the follow-up to MØ’s 2018 album Forever Neverland. Speaking on her latest album Andersen stated “I hope that people will feel that (this album) is genuine and that there are stories there that they can connect with. For me this album represents a huge change in my life. Even though I’m still doing what I love doing, it does feel like a new chapter. An era of my life is over and I’m entering a new one. That is scary, but it’s freeing.”
