65daysofstatic have announced three UK shows for Spring 2020. Dubbed the “replicr tour”, the May shows will see the group play their largest headline show in London, as well as returning to Manchester’s Academy 2 for the first time since 2014. They will also be performing at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London and Edinburgh’s Summer Hall.

In a statement through their official website, the band said, “May next year we’re gonna do a limited run of very special dates, including our biggest ever London headline show and finally a return to Manchester.”

They reminisced about their 2014 performance in Manchester. “The last time we played there was back in 2014 in the cathedral when our sub bass made it rain centuries-old cobwebs all over the audience. Happy days…”

“We’ll be playing new songs and old, especially some songs that haven’t had a live airing in a while. There’ll be some different versions of regular live favourites too, cos if you think we’re about to lapse into tepid greatest hits sets then you’re thinking of some other, more sensible band.”

“Bring your dancing shoes, it’s gonna be killer.”

Tickets went on sale this morning at 10am, and can be found here. Their scheduled dates are listed below:

14/5/20 – Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London.
15/5 – Academy 2, Manchester.
16/5 – Summer Hall, Edinburgh.

The experimental band from Sheffield, have released seven studio albums. Their latest, ‘Replicr, 2019‘ was released on September. The album can be found through Apple Music and Spotify.

Discussing the creative themes behind ‘Replicr, 2019′, 65daysofstatic drummer Rob Jones said. “History is moving but it’s got nowhere to go. It’s piling up all around us. That’s what this record is about.”

Reviewed by Loudersound, the album was described as “undoubtedly uneasy listening, but who said that the transition from sci-fi dystopia to the real thing was going to be a smooth ride anyway?”
