German metal group Rammstein have risen from the ashes to announce a new set of worldwide tour dates, following the postponement of this year’s shows due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, with a short promo video featuring some of the band’s most chest-rattling, heart-splitting, flaming stadium madness, the band declared, “EUROPE STADIUM TOUR RESCHEDULED TO 2021!” The tweet features a link to Rammstein’s official YouTube channel, where a new video assures fans, “All shows have now been rescheduled to 2021, and already-purchased tickets will remain valid for the new dates! We are very much looking forward to seeing many of you next year!”

Beginning on May 22nd next year, in Leipzig, Germany, the band’s upcoming tour will be immense, with months of shows taking them all the way through to August 7th, finishing in Ostend, Belgium. This more than makes up for the heartbreak with which fans were afflicted after the tour-opening show was due to have taken place next week in Klagenfurt, Austria. Happily, for those of us off the European mainland, there are three UK tours to keep our eyes on.

With all that to look forward to, what’s in store for the near-distant future? Well, you’re in luck, because the band of East Berlin metalheads very kindly took to Facebook earlier this year to announce the DVD launch of their infamous Live aus Berlin concert. Though there is currently an excerpt of the concert available online, this new DVD release is set to include, in its entirety, the previously censored performance of Bück Dich, which saw the band members simulate anal sex on-stage using a water-squirting dildo.

Racy stuff, indeed. Though it shouldn’t be too surprising when you translate the song’s title into English: “bend over.” What else could you expect?

–

Listed by NME, the tour dates will take place in mid-June, at the following venues:

Friday 12th – Belfast, Boucher Road Playing Fields (rescheduled from June 17, 2020)
Tuesday 16th – Cardiff, Principality Stadium (rescheduled from June 14, 2020)
Friday 19th – Coventry, Ricoh Arena (rescheduled from June 20, 2020)
