				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The nominations for the 58th Grammy Awards are in, with Kendrick Lamar dominating nominations. He is tipped for 11 awards at the prestigious awards evening. The Weeknd and Taylor Swift&#8217;s tallies follow shortly after, with both artists racking up seven nominations each. Ed Sheeran and James Bay lead the charge for UK artists, with two nominations apiece.</p>
<p>Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar has made the top spot on nearly every critics &#8216;best albums of the year&#8217; lists with his phenomenal <em>To Pimp A Butterfly. </em>The album, which was released at the beginning of the year, won universal acclaim for it&#8217;s hyper-aware lyrics, complex themes and daring production. It&#8217;s no surprise then that <em>To Pimp A Butterfly </em>is up for best album, along with two songs from the album up for five more awards. &#8216;These Walls&#8217; is up for best collaboration, whilst Alright is tipped for a staggering four awards: best song, best rap performance, best rap song and best music video.</p>
<p>Another good year for Taylor Swift, her nominations include best record and best album. Bad Blood is also up for best music video and best pop duo/group performance with Kendrick Lamar.</p>
<p>R&amp;B Singer The Weeknd, whose tally equals Swift&#8217;s, is also up for best album, and best record for his infectious pop hit &#8216;Can&#8217;t Feel My Face&#8217;. Drake&#8217;s tally closely follows The Weeknd and Swifts, with five nominations under his belt; his surprise mixtape <em>If You&#8217;re Reading This It&#8217;s Too Late </em>is up for best album.</p>
<p>On the UK side Ed Sheeran, who has seen a big year, has two nominations for his ballad &#8216;Thinking Out Loud&#8221; &#8211; song of the year and record of the year. Meanwhile James Bay has been nominated for best new artist and best rock album for his <em>Chaos and the Calm.</em></p>
