Lemmy went on to say ” it would’ve disappointed me to go out, play some average shows and watch my health give way long before the tour was over! When people come to see a Motörhead tour, they expect a Motörhead show, and that is exactly what you will get as soon as I am fit and ready to rumble.”

Motorhead had to cancel the remainder of their European tour earlier this year after Lemmy was reported to have been suffering from a haematoma, and it was revealed that he had been fitted with a defibrillator due to an ongoing cardiac condition.

The November tour is to support their latest release, Aftershock, which came out in September. Luckily for fans, tickets that have already been purchased will still be valid when the tour is set to restart in February.

To promote the EP, the band have announced they will be going on a tour of the UK, supported by Wight and Bright Curse for all but their first date, where they will be supported by Steak and Kerela.

Take It Or Leave It was directed and produced by Dave Robinson, who was the head of the ska group’s original label Stiff Records. With Camden Town as the backdrop, the film illustrates the trials and tribulations of Madness’ early career, and it depicts the band’s rise from their humble beginnings as a pub band.

The film features live and studio recordings of hits from Madness’ first couple of albums, including Baggy Trousers, The Prince and One Step Beyond. There are only two songs on the soundtrack that are by other artists, namely Fats Domino and The Four Tops. Here is the full tracklist:

The video has Arrested Development star Jason Bateman playing Winston Marshall (vocals, banjo, guitar), Ed Helms of The Office/The Hangover playing Ben Lovett (vocals, keyboard, accordion, drums), and Saturday Night Live actors Jason Sudeikis and Will Forte playing Marcus Mumford (lead vocals, guitar) and Ted Dwane (vocals, string bass, guitar) respectively.

The band joked “We are delighted to present to you our new video for the song Hopeless Wanderer. A massive pair of thumbs-up to Sam Jones for directing and his cast of young budding actors. We’re sure they all have bright futures ahead of them”

Ed Helms said “We had an absolute blast shooting this video and the final product only confirms what I felt going in – thank god we’re a fake band. We’re so grateful to be a successful fake band. It’s been years of fake dedication and fake hard work to get here, and I really believe we are at the forefront of abject fraudulence,” while Jason Bateman commented “Getting a chance to pretend I’m a rock star was the proudest I’ve been of myself while awake.”

Hopeless Wanderer is from the band’s 2012 release, Babel.

Frightened Rabbit are set to headline a number of UK shows in November, as well as performing at festivals this summer.

Singer Scott Hutchinson said ‘ ‘The Woodpile is about that night you felt utterly out of place, alone, awkward and cornered. All any of us want in those instances is for someone we care about to come and take us away from it all. It’s escapist, but also claustrophobic in places. I like the idea of contrasting a big, confident piece of music with lyrics that express uncertainty and vulnerability. ‘

“Motörhead rocked the Black Stage for more than 30 minutes and Lemmy gave everything he´s got to play an amazing live show,” they said. He´s keeping well – but the temperatures and circumstances led to the point that continuing the show would have led to a loss of quality. We are very happy and proud that Phil, Mikkey and particularly Mr. Rock n’ Roll himself, Lemmy Kilmister, played W:O:A 2013 and that they did everything humanly possible to play this gig. Thank you so much, guys!”

Motörhead had to stop after six songs after Lemmy was unable to continue. In June it was revealed that he had a defibrilator to correct heart problems, and suffered a haematoma shortly after. The band have cancelled tour dates in November but are still planning on releasing their new album, Aftershock, in September.

She has also announced October tour dates in the UK, with venues in Edinburgh, Manchester and London.

Birdy’s eponymous debut album was released back in 2011, and although most of the tracks on the album were covers of other songs, she says that she’s been working on new material that “come straight from [my] heart.”

The film was documented by director Lasse Hoile, who is best known for his work with Porcupine Tree, Opeth and Dream Theatre, and is set to be released on September 23rd via Kscope.

The show at Philippopolis was a part of a lengthy European tour following the release of Anathema’s 2012 album Weather Systems, their most successful album to date. Highly rated by critics, Weather Systems cemented Anathema’s reputation as one of the best progressive bands around.

Legacy will be the band’s second release, following their debut EP The Siren, which came out in 2012. Guitarist Craig Mayor says “We want that to be a distant memory and for Legacy to be what we’re remembered for. On Legacy the lyrical content and vocal style is very different as we have two vocalists providing a new dynamic that allows us to be more creative and versatile, we’ve also taken some elements out of different sub genres of metal to fuse it with our own sound to create something different.”

Mayor also spoke about the album artwork, inspired by an hourglass and designed by Abyss Art’s Vincent Bolar. “There has a lot of emphasis on time and a few songs on our EP have the message of making the most of the time you have, the hourglass represents lifespan, the EP almost has a seize the day kind of theme to it.”
