The upcoming project will be the 21-year-old’s third project following his debut release Double-Tap Diaries and sophomore project Made In the Pyrex. His last two projects have both had commercial success, with his debut reaching number 11 after its first week of sale and his second project reaching the Top 5 and debuting at number 3 on the charts. Diggas’ commercial success is undeniable with 3 Top 10s, 3 Top 20s and 5 Top 50 singles in his 5-year long carer that first saw him chart in 2019.

Digga released his latest singles “Pump 101” which he released over a month ago and found success through TikTok trends with the track sitting on 7.6 million youtube views and 13.5 million Spotify streams, with the track debuting at 9th on the official charts having spent 6 consecutive weeks in the charts.Digga also released “G-lock” alongside American sensation Moneybagg Yo which dropped a week ago and sits on over a million views and over a million Spotify streams.

Kamal. is one of the youngest talents in the UK soul and RnB scene, and despite not having the biggest discography the young singer has tracks on over 20 million streams as well as songs alongside cemented UK greats such as Dave. The singer’s talent is undeniabl,e and is the reason the 19-year-old is signed to the Neighbourhood label which is the home to only two talents, Kamal. and 23-year-old rap phenom Dave who has been working alongside the label manager since he was the same age as Kamal. and showcases their ability to notice and nurture talent.

The dates released by Kamal. take place throughout May 2022, spanning seven locations and three different countries. The dates kick off on the 4th of May at The Deaf Institute in Manchester, and will end on the 16th of May at Prachtwerk in Berlin.  The dates all see Kamal. perform at venues as a solo act except for his stop in Brighton, which will see the young singer take part in The Great Escape Festival, a festival that has taken place in Brighton for multiple years and has welcomed talents such as AJ Tracey and Lewis Capaldi, and this year will host the like of Lola Young, Tems and of course Kamal..

Kamal. has had a quiet 2022 having only released one single titled “Nowhere To Hide” which has only been out for a week and sits on 85 thousand streams. This is the first piece of music the singer has released since his 2021 project War Outside which was well received by Kamal. fans and sits on well over 23 million combined streams.

Blade Brown and K-Trap are rappers from two different UK Rap generations; Blade Brown has been rapping for well over 10 years and was part of the UK Rap scene in the early 2000s, having made legendary tapes such as Hollowman Meets Blade alongside fellow UK Street rapper and UK legend Giggs. K-Trap on the other hand is part of the new generation who came through with the early UK drill sound having first appeared as a masked rapper in 2014 frequently featuring alongside UK drill pioneers 67. 

K-Trap has been using his social media to tell fans that 2022 will be a big year for him, coming after a 2021 that saw him drop what many fans of UK Rap see as a top 5 project with his mixtape Trapo. The rapper from Gipsy Hill’s last project featured classics such as “Warm” and despite only being a mixtape, it excited fans for what more the rapper may deliver. Blade hasn’t dropped a project since 2019, when he released the fourth part of his mixtape series Bags and Boxes 4.

The duo announced their upcoming joint project at the end of 2021 and left fans excited, with no official release date their new single “6 Figures” is the first single from either artist in nearly 6 months, and will lead fans to believe the tape they are all waiting for is coming soon. 

Their new single “6 Figures” sits on just over 100 thousand views following its release less than 24 hours ago.

The upcoming project will be Young’s 15th official project, with his first on streaming sites having been released in 2009, titled Tef London. The rapper hosted a listening party for his upcoming project in mid-February with a number of special guests including fellow rappers Blade Brown, K-Trap, DoRoad, LD, and influencers Mimi the Music Blogger and Lippy. The rapper hosted the listening party at the Just Hype flagship store in SoHo.

Teflon was able to hold his listening party at the Just Hype store in central London after recently becoming an official member of the Just Hype family, joining the likes of Lippy and Margs. Just Hype announced on their Instagram in early February that the rapper had joined the team posting a photoshoot with a caption that read,” ITS OFFICIAL  @youngsteflon Every Rappers Favourite Rapper Is The Latest Member To Join The Family  MAJOR THINGS TO COME ”.

Prior to the official announcement of Youngs’ upcoming project, the rapper had been actively making moves around the album, with a listening party, headline shows and singles all being announced and released. The rapper recently announced a three date tour that will see him perform in Birmingham, Manchester and London between the 28th to the 30th of march.

Youngs Teflon is a UK rap legend and has been in the scene for well over 10 years. The rapper has moved within genres, having tried his hand at Grime, Melodic and drill. Coming out of Brixton in southwest London, the rapper has grown around a number of artists in the area and worked alongside them with artists such as Blade Brown, K-trap and 67 have all been artists and groups that have worked with and grown with Tef.

Youngs Teflon’s upcoming mixtape All Eyes On Me Against the World is set to drop on the 18th of March 2022.

The bilingual rapper, who often jumps between French and English in his songs, took to his Instagram to announce the release of his newest single as well as his upcoming mixtape posting the cover art which sees french standing next to a black BMW with a black rottweiler.  As well as posting the cover art, French posted a caption alongside the photos, explaining the importance of his upcoming project and how hard he has worked on it. The caption read “Make It Out. OUT NOW ON ALL PLATFORMS.  I’m announcing the upcoming release of my debut mixtape ‘NEVER BEEN ORDINARY’ . This project is really special to me. Having only released his newest single “Make It Out” on his own channel 5 days ago the track already sits on just under 400 thousand views and just under 3000 thousand streams on Spotify.

French the kid who grew up in Essex as well as France, that being the reasoning behind his name and bilingual music. French has been releasing music since 2019, with his first official track being “Bella Latina” which the young rapper released on Link-Up TV and currently sits on 1.9 million views. French continued dropping tracks on platforms such as GRM Daily and Link-Up TV as he was able to showcase his talents and his ability to move between sounds and genres, with tracks where the Essex native is just rapping as well as tracks where he goes for a more melodic approach. As French began racking up millions of views on these platforms, he made the decision to move over to his own channel, allowing the rapper to fully profit from his work and videos. This had no detriment to French, with his channel currently sitting on 88,0000 subscribers and a combined 24 million views on the 6 tracks he has dropped on his channel in the last 11 months.

Take Off Festival focuses on UK music, with a number of UK hip hop acts headlining both their 2019 and 2022 stages. The week-long festival first took place in 2019 with headliners such as; AJ Tracey, Hardy Caprio, Headie One, Aitch and Russ. Take off is set to return this year after a two-year hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic, and will feature performances from some of the biggest artists and DJs in the UK music scene.

Take Off have now announced their lineup for 2022, which features headliners Central Cee and Arrdee, as well as A1xJ1, DJ Nathan Dawe, Yung Filly, DJ Tom Zanetti, Andy Purnell, Martin2smoove, Queen Millz, Darren Damour, James Bluck, Prestige, PYB and more.  

Take off haven’t only announced a star-studded lineup; they have also teamed up with one of the biggest platforms for UK hip hp, GRM Daily. The festival and UK music platform have teamed up to give away 4 party passes and hotel stays for the week-long festival. The 19-year-old rapper from Brighton took to his Instagram to announce the 3 day in-store tour, and posted the dates alongside a caption that read,”Coming to you lots cities grab a ticket before they sell out ASAP Link in my bio”.

Arrdee will be visiting 5 locations between the 16th and 19th of March, kicking off in  Kingston on the 16th before coming to an end in Manchester on the 19th. Between Kingston and Manchester, the 19-year-old will be making an appearance in his hometown, Brighton on the 18th before travelling up to London on the same day. The young rapper will then do a doubleheader of Leeds and Manchester on the 19th. Arrdee will be turning up to record shops such as HMV, Rough Trade and Crash, signing copies of his debut mixtape as well as performing some of his favourite tracks.

Arrdee has had a break out year like no other; the 19-year-old has earned himself 5 top 10s in just under a year with his tracks “Flowers”,” Wasted”,” Oliver Twist” “War” ft Aitch and the remix to the chart-topping track “Body”. The rapper doesn’t look ready to slow down as he heads into his second year as a cemented rap star in the UK music scene, as well as announcing his debut project Pier Pressure set to drop on march the 18th, Arrdee has teased his upcoming single “Come and Go” which samples DJ Ironik’s classic track “Stay With Me”.

The collaboration will be released tomorrow at 11 am on the Trapstar website. The drop will come in cohesion with the release of Central Cee’s tape 23, which will release at midnight on the 25th of February. 

This upcoming project will be the West London rapper’s second project and his 3rd collaboration with the west London streetwear brand. Cee and Trapstar released a collaboration following the release of Cee’s debut project Wild West, followed by a collaboration following the announcement of his project 23 and now with the release of his project.

Trapstar isn’t the only brand Central Cee has collaborated with; the 23-year-old rapper has also released collaboration alongside another west London streetwear brand, Corteiz. The rapper- who has stayed independent- has mastered his rollouts and promo ahead of his project release. As well as 2 clothing collaborations he also handed out free food in his local area, painted the streets of west London orange and did an impromptu performance in a park of west London.  These stunts for his first project helped the rapper reach second in the official charts with his debut project, and kept the project in the official charts for 39 weeks.

Central Cee has only gone from strength to strength with every move he makes; his last 3 single releases for his upcoming project have all made the Top 30 in the charts and all sit on well over 5 million views on youtube after being uploaded on the rapper’s own channel.

At only 31, Jamal Edwards has left a legacy that will live on longer than those who mourn him today. Receiving an MBE aged 24 for his work in music, being made ambassador for the youth charity princess trust in 2013 aged 21, Forbes 30 under 30 aged 25, and most recently appointed entrepreneur in residence at the University of Sussex. Jamal’s accolades stretch further than this, with these being just a few of his biggest achievements.

Musically, the founder of SBTV helped artists such as Ed Sheeran with his freestyle platforms A64 and F64, which saw a legendary acoustic performance of Ed Sheeran classic track “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You”. The relationship went from strength to strength and in recent times Jamal has helped Ed Sheeran link up with the likes of Kwengface, Tion Wayne, Central Cee, Fumez the engineer and Fireboy DML. 

Jamal Edwards will go down as a UK legend not only for what he has done for UK music but for Black British culture as well, with the 31-year-old truly being a trailblazer in his field motivating and inspiring thousands of people to follow their dreams and create spaces for communities that didn’t have these platforms. At the end of last year, a mural of the young entrepreneur was put up in his home town of Acton, it now stands to immortalise the West London legend.
