Rock legends KISS have announced details today of their UK stint, as part of their final ever tour. Rumours of the band’s retirement began earlier in the year, after- in somewhat typical fashion- the band tried to trademark the term ‘The End Of The Road’, in relation to ‘live performances by a musical band.’

The farewell shows have now been confirmed, with the band revealing a five date run of concerts in the UK, as part of their farewell. You can see the full list of dates below, and tickets are available here, from 9am on Friday November 2.

“All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years,” said the band in a statement. “This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and a last chance for those who haven’t.

“KISS Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came in… Unapologetic and Unstoppable.”

As well as the rumblings of a farewell tour, there were also suggestions of one last album from KISS, however Paul Stanley has shot these rumours down. “No. I don’t think so,”he said. “It’s a different time now. I could write ‘Let It Be’ and people would still say, “That’s great. Now play ‘Detroit Rock City’.”

New York rap superstar Post Malone has today announced details of his very first arena tour of the UK. Tickets go on sale here on Friday October 12, and you can see the full list of dates below.

The five UK and Ireland dates will be a part of a greater European tour, in support of Malone’s latest album Beerbongs & Bentleys, and his jaunt on these shores will kick off in Dublin on Valentine’s Day 2019, before returning and culminating the entire tour at London’s O2 Arena on March 13.

It’s also been announced recently that Post will be making his acting debut alongside Mark Wahlberg in a new Netflix series, following the likes of Kendrick Lamar (Power) and Joey BadA$$ (Mr. Robot), in turning his hand to acting. The project is titled Wonderland, and will be an adaptation of Ace Atkins’ novel Robert B. Parker’s Wonderland. He he will co-star alongside Wahlberg, as well as Black Panther‘s Winston Duke, comedian Iliza Shlesinger, and Argo‘s Alan Arkin.

Things appear to be looking up for Malone, following a bizarre streak of near tragic accidents. Back in August, the rapper’s private plane was forced to make an emergency landing, when the tyres of the plane burst on the runway, meaning the plane had to circle round and wait for a safe opportunity to land. Less than a month later, Malone was involved in an early morning car crash in West Hollywood. Malone wasn’t driving at the time, and no alcohol was involved in the incident, but both cars were written off.

Former frontman for The Verve Richard Ashcroft has announced a brand new tour of the UK and Ireland for April and May 2019. The tour will be in support of his upcoming fifth solo studio album Natural Rebel, and the tour will conclude with an historic date a London’s Olympia- the first gig of any kind to be played there since Primal Scream, eight years ago. Tickets go on sale at 9:30am on Friday October 12, and you can see the full list of dates below.

Fans who pre-order the album from the official store before or during the pre-release period will receive exclusive pre-sale access to the UK tour dates, which are available from October 10.

Natural Rebel will be released on October 19, and the tracklist reads like that:

‘All My Dreams’

‘Birds Fly’

‘Surprised By The Joy’

‘That’s How Strong’

‘Born To Be Strangers’

‘That’s When I Feel It’

‘We All Bleed’

‘A Man in Motion’

‘Streets of Amsterdam’

Ashcroft recently dropped a surprise new single called ‘Hey Colombo’, which seemed to be a response to the internet’s reaction to a bizarre incident when Ashcroft was making a guest appearance on Soccer AM. During his time on the Saturday morning TV show, fans noticed something strange fall from Ashcrofts clothing, before he swiftly picked it up. Many fans speculated that it looked like a bag of drugs, which Ashcroft has vehemently denied, and seems to have sparked the release of ‘Hey Colombo.’

Stadium rock titans Muse have announced details of a special one-off charity concert at London’s Albert Hall, which will mark their first live show in over a year.

The band recently returned to the fore, dropping the video for new single ‘Pressure’ last week. The video stars Terry Crews, and you can check it out below. After several earlier singles appeared to lean towards a more electronic, even poppy sound, frontman Matt Bellamy described ‘Pressure’ as something of a return to the old school for the band.

“It’s more like a straight Muse rock track,” Bellamy told Radio X. “It’s like a different riff every 10 seconds, basically.”

The band also recently confirmed that their eighth studio album Simulation Theory will be released on November 8. The show at the Albert Hall will take place no December 3, and will be for the benefit of The Prince’s Trust.

This will mark the band’s first concert since headlining Reading and Leeds Festival in 2017, and tickets for the event will go on sale here at 9am, on Friday October 12. ID ticketing will be in operation with tickets limited to two per person, with re-sale tickets available via Twickets. VIP experience packages are also available – offering fans the chance to have a guided tour of the building with the band and even a song dedication during the set.

“For a long time, we’ve admired the work of The Prince’s Trust,” Bellamy explained. “When we were starting out as a band the Trust actually gave us a small grant to buy our first PA system, which I still have to this day. It really helped set us up on the right road and we’re delighted to be able to play a show to raise funds for them.”

Chief Executive of The Prince’s Trust Nick Stace added:”We’re incredibly proud to count the band Muse among our alumni here at The Prince’s Trust, and thrilled that they are putting on this special concert in aid of the charity. The show will raise vital funds for the work we do at The Prince’s Trust to help young people reach their potential and achieve their dreams”

Oakland Metal stalwarts Machine Head have clarified that they will not be splitting up, following several rumours, after the announcement of two band members’ departures.

Guitarist Phil Demmel and longtime drummer Dave McClain were confirmed to be quitting by band frontman and leader Robb Flynn in an emotional Facebook Live video, which you can see below.

In the video Flynn confirms the departure of the two band members, saying “I’ll get right to it […] Wednesday night, Phil Demmel quit Machine Head. Yesterday afternoon, Dave McClain quit Machine Head. And Jared kinda quit but didn’t know if he was quitting for sure.”

Since the video went live, the band have issued a more formal statement on Demmel and McClain’s departures, making clear that their upcoming tour will be ‘a celebration’ of this iteration of the band, rather than the end of the band completely.

The statement reads: “After 23 years with Dave McClain pounding the skins at the drum throne, and 15 years with Phil Demmel shredding the guitar on stage right, both members have decided to move on from Machine Head and open a new chapter in their lives.⠀

“The upcoming Freaks and Zeroes tour of North America (that starts this Thursday in Sacramento, CA) is still happening, and will be a celebration of the music that the line-up have created throughout the years. The split is amicable, and the guys are looking forward to playing these very special shows for the Head Cases of North America and ending this era on a positive and classy note.⠀

To clarify: this is the Farewell Tour of this line-up of Machine Head, not the Farewell Tour of Machine Head, as has been reported in the media. ⠀
⠀
Machine Head wish to thank Phil and Dave for their significant contributions to the band, both musically and lyrically, as well for the spirit, genuine passion they infused into the music, and legendary live performances brought along the way.

Machine Head ask that you, the Head Cases, the Freaks & Zeroes, the Lion Hearts of America, come down and have a drink (or 5), a joint (or 3), rage at the shows, let your freak-flag-fly, and celebrate this unique moment in time with us.”

Despite the positive spin the band want for this US tour, Flynn was honest in blaming himself for the departures of Demmel and McClain, saying in the initial Facebook broadcast: “We have grown apart as people,” he began. “Musically, we have grown apart. I have held on too tight to the reins of this band and I have suffocated those guys.

“I’ve got some rough edges – I’m kind of a barnacle. Those rough edges have given us the success we have, but they’ve also hurt the people around me. I’ve got a lot of drive but I’ve got a lot of anger and rage. That drive of mine has alienated folks in the band.”

Flynn’s remorse for his conduct, and the admission that he needed to “do a little bit of soul-searching in my life and take a long hard look at myself.”

Flynn was insistent that the band would continue, and despite his remorse, he was keen to see his bandmates off in style. “We’re gonna end it on a positive note,” he promised. “And we’re gonna end it on a classy note. So come out and have a drink with us. Maybe not too classy – like white trash classy, like hammered and stoned at a metal show classy. It’s the end of an era. I did a lot of crying yesterday. I felt like I got ran over by a truck.”

Fans seem to have accepted that the band will continue, but many have still expressed sadness that two long-standing members of the near-iconic band will be departing.

Swedish dance queen Robyn has today finally announced details about her upcoming album- her first project in over eight years. The album will be titled Honey, and is currently slated for release on October 26.

Honey will feature collaborations with Metronomy’s Joseph Mount, longtime collaborator Klas Ålund, Kindess’ Adam Bainbridge, Mr. Tophat, and Zhala. The first single from Honey was the recently dropped ‘Missing U’ which made it’s debut on HBO’s Girls.

Robyn has described the album’s mood as “this sweet place, like a very soft ecstasy”, elaborating: “I danced a lot when I was making it. I found a sensuality and a softness that I don’t think I was able to use in the same way before. Everything just became softer.”

The album’s announcement came through a message on Robyn’s official Twitter, where she explained “really can’t wait for you to hear it. It’s a personal album, and there are so many things that happened throughout making it that it’s really hard for me to explain in one go. I think the best way is for you to listen to it.”

My new album Honey will be released on the 26th of October, sign up to pre-order and pre-save here https://t.co/iZU9YaHRKc pic.twitter.com/3SSztu4uyC

Earlier this year, Robyn admitted that the new record started out with her working alone, rather than in tandem with collaborators as she has in the past. She said that gave her space to “get in touch with a sensuality and a softness” that she’s wanted to explore in her music.

Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan has gifted their patient fans some good news today, with an update on the progress of the band’s long-anticipated new album. The group haven’t released a project in over ten years, which came in the form of 2006’s monstrous 10,000 Days.

The new album had initially been slated for a release in 2017, but faced severe delays. however Keenan has tweeted some detailed info on the new record’s recording process, revealing that guitarist Adam Jones (referred to in the tweet as AJ) was ‘deep’ into recording his guitars for the project.

Update- Scratch Vox tracked awhile ago. AJ deep in Guitars now. Final Vox after. Step back. Adjust. Mix. Adjust. Re-Adjust. Master. Adjust. Re-Adjust. Long Way 2 Go But Much Closer. #TOOL #2019

— Maynard J Keenan (@mjkeenan) September 10, 2018

Keenan’s tweet did seem cautious in regard to the album’s overall progress, but the tweet seemed to confirm that we can at last expect the project next year. This follows a previous update from the singer in February, suggesting that his “words & melodies” for the album were “100% done on all but 1″ of the album’s tracks.

Keenan has previously blamed the slow progress of the album on his bandmates’ indecisiveness. “I like to release records and write things a little more quickly than those guys like to write,” he said. “Their process is very analytical.” Keenan released new music with his other band A Perfect Circle earlier this year, titled Eat The Elephant, which garnered high praise among many.

In December 2017, Rage Against the Machine, Prophets of Rage, and former-Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello revealed that he had heard new music from the band. He shared an image of himself and the band on his Instagram page, writing “”Had the honour of being the first outsider to hear new #TOOL music today!!” describing what he had heard as “epic, majestic, symphonic, brutal, beautiful, tribal, mysterious, deep, sexy and VERY Tool.”
