The album will be available on Tidal as of 2019.

The entertainment advisor of Prince’s estate, Troy Carter said:

I’m very pleased this is resolved, and we get to honor the relationship between Prince and Tidal with this album. We look forward to fans hearing the new music and experiencing the genius of Prince.

The album will be exclusively available on Tidal for 14 days, before physical copies are released.

This will be the first Prince album released since December of 2015, when he released HITnRUN Phase Two, just 4 months before his death at the age of 57.

Jay-Z, one of the many owners of Tidal said:

Our only goal is to share Prince’s music with his fans as he wanted. After thoughtful and honest conversation with him, he chose TIDAL as his partner for HITnRUN Phase One and HITnRUN Phase Two, and we will continue to respect and honour Prince’s enduring legacy and wishes with this new collection.

The two most high profile artists removed from playlists are R. Kelly and XXXTentacion. Kelly has numerous accusations of sexual abuse to his name, and X has allegations of domestic abuse to his, and had a trial pending for these accusations.

Songs from these artists will still be available to stream, but they will no longer be promoted through the platforms playlists.

Spotify’s policy states:

We don’t censor content because of an artist’s or creator’s behavior, but we want our editorial decisions – what we choose to program – to reflect our values. When an artist or creator does something that is especially harmful or hateful (for example, violence against children and sexual violence), it may affect the ways we work with or support that artist or creator.

Representatives from both artists have released statements condemning Spotify’s actions, with R. Kelly issuing the following statement to BuzzFeed:

We appreciate Spotify for continuing to make R. Kelly’s songs accessible to millions of people, although it will stop listing his songs on its official playlists.

Spotify is adopting a new “Hate Content & Hateful Conduct” policy. R Kelly never has been accused of hate, and the lyrics he writes express love and desire.

Mr. Kelly for 30 years has sung songs about his love and passion for women. He is innocent of the false and hurtful accusations in the ongoing smear campaign against him, waged by enemies seeking a payoff. He never has been convicted of a crime, nor does he have any pending criminal charges against him.

Spotify has the right to promote whatever music it chooses, and in this case its actions are without merit. It is acting based on false and unproven allegations. It is bowing to social-media fads and picking sides in a fame-seeking dispute over matters that have nothing to do with serving customers.

Meanwhile, though, Spotify promotes numerous other artists who are convicted felons, others who have been arrested on charges of domestic violence and artists who sing lyrics that are violent and anti-women in nature.

Mr. Kelly falls into none of these categories, and it is unfortunate and shortsighted that Spotify fails to recognize this.

These stores will see some of the bands most iconic outfits displayed, such as green sequin suit that Mick Jagger wore at Glastonbury in 2013.

These collections will be shown in Selfridges stores in the three cities from the 14th of May – 3rd of June.

Mat Vlasic, head of Bravado, the merchandising company that set up the shop, said “Both the Stones and Selfridges are synonymous with shaping British culture and it has been an honour for Bravado to curate this unique and innovative immersive experience for their fans.”

The bands tour this year is the first UK tour since 2006, with the band headlining UK festivals such as Glastonbury and British Summer Time in between.

Both the album and the video for ‘This Is America’ make a very political statement, addressing both gun control and police brutality. The visuals in the video are incredibly striking, and accompany the song perfectly.

Glover also performed a new song on SNL entitled ‘Saturday’, which follows the funk and soul inspired sounds of his most recent album.

Glover seems to be really hitting his stride at the moment, with these tracks dropping simultaneously with the airing of his TV series ‘Atlanta’, which is one of the most unique comedies on TV right now. He also hosted SNL on Saturday, proving that he is a true renaissance man, and undoubtedly one of the most talented people alive right now.

The band originally called it a day back in 2003, before front man Brett Anderson embarked on his own solo career, releasing 4 albums between 2007 and 2011.

The band reformed in 2010, and proceeded to record two new albums, Bloodsports in 2013, and Night Thoughts in 2016, which garnered them a large amount of critical acclaim.

In an interview with NME last month, Anderson said that the album is “Quite dank and troubling”, and also that they’ve “tried to drift a little further leftfield”.

Tillman has released three singles from the album so far: ‘Mr. Tillman’, ‘Disappointing Diamonds Are The Rarest of Them All’ and ‘Just Dumb Enough to Try’. He also released a music video for ‘Mr. Tillman’ last week.

Pure Comedy was released last year to huge critical acclaim, with 5 star reviews from NME, The Guardian, and Mojo, as well as receiving a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album. It was also my personal pick for the best album of the year.

Tillman last played in the UK last year, and played Glastonbury Festival, and headlined End Of The Road – his first festival headlining show.

The ‘internets first boy band’ blew up last year with the release of their 3 Saturation albums (1, 2 and 3), and were propelled into the limelight with huge singles such as ‘GOLD’, ‘SWEET’ and ‘BOOGIE’.

All 14 members of the group originate from Texas, but they currently reside in California. They released their debut mixtape All-American Trash in 2016 over a year before their debut studio album. Their rise after the release of this album was almost meteoric, with the third and final instalment of their Saturation trilogy, peaking at number 5 R&B/Hip-Hop charts in the US.

In February, it was announced that Brockhampton had signed a three year, and six album deal with RCA Records, worth over $15,000,000.

Last years success also led the boy band to perform at Coachella festival earlier this year, and their two upcoming UK shows at KOKO in London in August sold out in a matter of minutes.

With their collective chemistry, engaging personalities and sheer uniqueness in their music, it’s pretty clear that Puppy will be an album definitely worth looking out for.

In the lead up to this album, Post released the single ‘Rockstar’ featuring 21 Savage, with reached number 1 in the UK singles chart, and went 2x platinum, selling over 1,000,000 copies.

beerbongs and bentleys has already gone platinum in Post’s native USA, selling over 1,000,000 copies in the space of just three days, which is a huge testament to how huge he has become in 3 years. It boasts huge features from artists like Nicki Minaj, G-Eazy and Swae Lee as well.

His new album has also broken streaming records as well, as the 18 songs on the album were streamed just under 79,000,000 times worldwide in just the first day of its release according to Spotify.

The record was initially set by J Cole’s new album KOD just a week before, but Post Malone received over 10,000,000 more first day streams than the North Carolina rapper.

Love him or hate him, you cannot deny that Post Malone is now a worldwide superstar, and he has an enormous fan base that are incredibly dedicated and passionate about his music.

The song was originally written as a protest song of George W Bush, who was the US president at the time of the release of the song. Despite this however, many people believe that the lyrics are still very relevant to the current POTUS.

When the single was originally released, it reached number 3 on the UK singles chart, and eventually went gold, after selling over 400,000 copies in the UK alone. It is one of the bands best performing singles in the UK.

A similar Facebook campaign was set up in 2009 to get Rage Against The Machine’s ‘Killing In The Name’ to Christmas number one. This campaign turned out to be successful, with RATM’s single winning the number one spot by 50,000 copies, to beat the X Factor winner Joe McElderry’s single ‘The Climb’. Therefore, it’s not a stretch to think that this campaign may be successful too.
