Amy Maloney

Hi! My name is Amy Maloney (they/them). I’m a recent graduate from the University of Warwick, where I achieved a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) in History. At university I became impassioned with the process of researching, writing and communicating my findings with others. My writing interests surround the intricacies of society, culture and entertainment. My research provides meticulous attention to underrepresented individuals, cultures and communities – having completed my undergraduate dissertation on lesbian identity in 1970s America. I found my particular interest in reporting on music whilst at university, after completing a rather extensive presentation on the prominence of ‘Beatlemania’ within consumerism and fan culture within the 1960s! I’m the UK Editor of mxdwn. Whilst writing articles on the UK music scene, I am expanding my already eclectic taste in music by editing articles for fellow UK writers and getting my hands on any new music that I can!
