British rock band Radiohead have revealed 2027 tour dates in Australia and Japan with 21 shows. The group will be visiting Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Saitama from the 3rd of May till the 13th of June.
Radiohead returned to the stage in 2025 after a 7-year hiatus, playing 4 dates across Europe. However, this wasn’t a one-off occasion as it set a precedent for upcoming shows. Guitarist Ed O’Brien told Rolling Stone back in March, “What we’re going to do is, every year we’re going to do a different continent, and we’re going to do 20 shows each year. No more, no less.”
This will be Radiohead’s first time performing in Australia since 2012 and first time in Japan since 2016. The band’s unexpected return to Europe last year was accompanied by surprise renditions of their songs ‘Jigsaw Falling into Place’ and ‘(Nice Dream)’ which they hadn’t performed in 16 years. Fans in Australia and Japan can prepare for a spectacular show after a lengthy break, which could potentially include some rare recitals of some of their hidden gems.
To make ticket purchasing fair, fans will only be able to buy tickets via registration on the band’s official website. For shows in Australia, registration closes on the 10th of September, and on the 27th of September for Japan. Once you have successfully registered, you will then receive a code or set of instructions to purchase no more than 4 tickets. Ticket prices are fixed depending on the type of ticket you select and will include a small charity donation that Radiohead will match. Proceeds from the Australian leg will go toward Greenpeace Australia Pacific and the Australian Marine Conservation Society, while proceeds from the Japanese leg will go toward More Trees.
