Pop star Dua Lipa has confirmed her engagement to actor Callum Turner. Rumours have been surrounding the couple for a couple of months now and the singer confirmed that Turner got down on one knee during her recent British Vogue interview.
Dua shared: “Yeah we’re engaged. It’s very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.”
She continued to share the couple’s future projects with the magazine, revealing that they both plan to complete certain things before having their wedding. She said: “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period. I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’ It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
The pop icon, who has been on tour for the past few months, loves to share her life with her fans while travelling on the road with her team. She shows her gratefulness to them both before each show and shares what helps her to become the performer that she is:” “Adrenaline is an incredible drug. I can hear people screaming before I’m even on. That’s when my heart starts racing. Moments before, I’m like: ‘Oh, my God, we’re doing this.’ And I’m ready to go.”
Just three studio albums in, Dua Lipa is a record-breaking, multi-platinum megastar, with three Grammys and seven Brit Awards under her belt. She’s the first woman artist to have five tracks with over two billion streams on Spotify, and the first artist to be livestreamed to a global audience from the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. The latter was just last year, along with very different concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and in New York’s Times Square. Her two upcoming shows at Wembley Stadium sold out in minutes.
