Panic! At The Disco, best known in modernity for ‘High Hopes,’ have been digging through the vault of their beloved first album, ‘A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out”’.

A post was shared to the bands instagram page stating that the demo for the infamous 2005 cheating anthem ‘Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off’ is now available on streaming.

The demo is increasingly raw in comparison to the readily available song we have all known and loved for years. It is wondrously rough around the edges and Urie’s vocals are riddled with disparity. Listening to it with 2020 vision of what the band becomes is simply breathtaking.

Widely acclaimed to be the bands best project, ‘A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out’ is a cabaret classic, dipped in red paint and circus ideology. It is one of two releases that hold the bands original lineup consisting of, guitarist and song writer Ryan Ross, lead singer Brendon Urie, drummer Spencer Smith and bassist Brent Wilson.

There is already a great deal of buzz surrounding the 2005 record as on October 18 and 19 of 2025, Urie, the last standing original member, decided to resurrect the album. Taking the stage at When We Were Young Fest, where the bands new lineup performed the darling record in full.

To put it in perspective the bulk of this album has not been performed live in over 20 years, considering it is a fan favourite people have been starving for a chance to hear these famed songs live.

Following this performance, the band has been increasingly active on social media, announcing that a deluxe version of the album would be available January 23, 2026.

The post read, “We now present to you: A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out (20th Anniversary Deluxe)”. The album is set to contain a remastered edition of the album, unreleased demos and the bands most famous live show, Live In Denver on streaming and vinyl for the very first time.

In the run up to the January release date the band is slowly but surely releasing old demos, including ‘Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off’. Fans everywhere are speculating that post when we Were Young Fest the band may take on a fully fledged world tour in celebration of the album. The festival announcement received such positive outpouring resulting in an additional date being added. Fingers crossed!

Despite the success of the long-anticipated October festival appearance, countless fans turn their noses up at the sight of Urie performing the album alongside new members. Due to the album being created at the hands of the original band members is it only fair that it is played with them present?

During the set Urie brought out old friend Spencer Smith to perform the famed song, ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’. The two playing live together is once again something that has not occurred in over 20 years. This may be a potential nod to the full original lineup making their grand return.

Brian Eno and Beatie Wolfe, two of the most forward-thinking figures in contemporary music, are preparing to release the final instalment of their ambitious trilogy of collaborative albums. Following the June arrival of ‘Luminal’ and ‘Lateral’, their forthcoming record, ‘Liminal’, is due on October 10 via Verve Records. The three works together form an expansive exploration of sound, mood, and atmosphere.

The journey began with ‘Luminal’, a record Eno and Wolfe described as “dream music.” Here, Wolfe’s emotive vocals and Eno’s ambient soundscapes fused to create something both intimate and almost otherworldly. The album drew inspiration from untranslatable words and concepts in global languages; terms like “mono no aware”, the Japanese expression for the poignancy of empathy, and “ya’aburnee”, an Arabic word for the wish not to live without a loved one.

Released alongside ‘Luminal’, ‘Lateral’ offered a striking contrast. Described as “space music,” it was anchored by a single hour-long piece titled ‘Big Empty Country’. The work unfolded slowly, built around sparse motifs that shifted with clarity. Where ‘Luminal’ offered lyrical intimacy, ‘Lateral’ invited listeners into an expansive meditation, a vast sonic landscape. Together, the two albums showcased Eno and Wolfe’s ability to explore extremes; one grounded in the warmth of human voice and the other pushing the envelope toward the edges of abstraction.

‘Liminal’ is the final offering in the trilogy, which the duo has characterized as “dark matter music.” In their words, it blurs the lines between song and non-song, a space they playfully call “nong.” If ‘Luminal’ was dreamlike and ‘Lateral’ otherworldly, ‘Liminal’ seeks to merge these worlds, drawing from both the vastness of the latter and the emotion of the former. The record is comprised of eleven tracks, including the already released singles ‘The Last to Know’ and ‘Ringing Ocean’.

Beyond the music itself, the project also shows the pair’s care for the planet. Like the earlier albums, ‘Liminal’ will be available in eco-friendly formats, including CDs, digital releases, black bio-vinyl, and a special translucent rose-colored vinyl. This fits with Eno and Wolfe’s shared interest in climate issues, which first brought them together during a 2022 discussion at SXSW about art and the environment. The album is available for pre-order here.

After establishing themselves with their debut album ‘Madra’ in January 2024, NewDad have announced their second studio album, Altar, set for release on September 19.

The announcement is paired with the fiery lead single “Roobosh,” a one‑take visual and sonic statement. In the track, vocalist Julie Dawson channels raw frustration, lamenting societal expectations of women to stifle their anger.

Speaking to NME, she explained “I wanted a song where I could moan and scream…letting myself get angry when I never allow myself to.” The result is a bold blend of cathartic vocals and a memorable, pop-influenced hook.”

Written over the past two years, ‘Altar’ responds to the emotional tug-of-war of relocating from Galway to London. It explores themes like homesickness, ambition, identity, relationships, and sacrifice-a reflection of the band’s own transitions.

Another single, ‘Pretty‘ offers a gentler contrast, a love letter to their hometown, where Julie expresses her deep attachment to Galway.

This album looks to break new ground, building on the atmospheric shoegaze of ‘Madra’ and the self-assured swagger of their ‘Safe’ EP. It marks a leap toward a more expansive, emotionally confessional sound, pushing beyond their debut’s boundaries.

NewDad’s debut album ‘Madra’, released in January 2024, introduced listeners to their blend of shoegaze‑tinged alt‑rock, filled with emotive lyricism and visceral guitar textures. Recorded at the iconic Rockfield Studios and mixed by Alan Moulder, it earned strong critical praise as an emotionally immersive and promising first record.

‘Gimme Whatcha Got’ is full of haunting rocky distortion and self destruction, telling a narrative that pulls listeners in with eerie relatability, for instance the shock image in the lyric “when you wake up in a trash can”. The band released their new single along with an announcement for a charity show which will raise money for Medical Aid Palestine.

The American-born band, now based in England, have been making waves in London’s indie music scene. They burst in full force with their debut single ‘Backseat Baby’ produced by Danio Forni from art rock band Husky Loops. With a confident introduction, they acquainted themselves with listeners as young, bored, and reckless, touching on classism and police issues.

The ‘POOSHKA’ EP comes a year after their record ‘Evil Adjacent’. In an interview with DIY, Taylor Pollack spoke about the inspiration for the project, saying: “The title ‘Evil Adjacent’ is, to me, about holding hands with and walking beside your and other’s demons, all the while growing up with climate change, constant wars, and opioid epidemics, and having to accept the reality of it all.”

Despite the bleakness, Pollack speaks positively about resilience, focusing the single on its optimism. She says: “Still, I am inspired by the resilience of people, being able to find joy and make it through. ‘Backseat Baby’ was my ode to messing around in our middle of nowhere town, where loads of the kids had some pretty terrible home lives but could still get all giddy sneaking out and lighting fireworks off at the local football fields.

Manchester’s indie powerhouse Chloe Slater has released a poignant new music video to accompany her latest single ‘Harriet’, released just days ago (July 29). Slater revealed to Dork Magazine that the track is one of her oldest. She says: ‘I wrote it at 18 in the worst student halls imaginable, during my first heartbreak. There’ve been so many versions since, but this release feels like a little nod to that girl – like a real ‘I made it’ moment.’

The single’s expression of jealousy and heartache is exacerbated by an addictive indie grunge sound. The singer paired the track with a music video inspired by popular BBC Three Drama Normal People. Directed by Bonnie MacRae, the video recreates iconic scenes from the show.

Fans are obsessed with the parallels, likening the narrative to the show’s protagonist Marianne. One fan wrote in the comments, “Chloe nailed that ache of being “the other girl”, even the toothbrush line feels so Marianne after the Debs fiasco.”

Slater told Dork Magazine how the concept came about, saying: “What started as a running joke about me looking like Daisy Edgar-Jones turned into a full-scale recreation of my favourite scenes,” she goes on to share, “We were laughing on set when the shots matched perfectly. I’ve never eaten so many ice lollies in my life!”

When teasing the track, fans were convinced that lead actors Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal were filming for the show, since Slater has posted about her resemblance to Jones.

To the surprise of many, the artist admitted her next release was widely inspired by iconic Sex And The City‘s main character, Carrie Bradshaw. Indeed, the character served in the writing of ‘The Art Of Loving’ coming out this September.

In a recent interview for the Bizarre Column of The Sun, she said: “I’d never seen Sex And The City before, and started watching it from the beginning. I have been living my Carrie moment, her influence will be there.”

Sharing some more, she also revealed how some songs of the upcoming album focus on relationships and the struggle that might come with them at times. “‘Something In Between’ is about when you are between being with somebody and not, and you are like, ‘I don’t want to just have you in my life, like now we are not supposed to talk?’”

Dean has been known to be quite transparent about her experiences with love, even embracing the ‘Messy’ side of it, with her debut album back in 2023. In an interview with Ones To Watch, she opened up about how the record talked about how it can feel to fall in love again after a hard, messy breakup. It’s a messy road and I’ve become quite hardened. My heart has got a hard case.”

The album featured songs such as ‘Dive, ‘The Hardest Part’ and ‘Ladies Room’, the latter being inspired by a song she overheard on a night out in the toilets.

Olivia explained: “I was just in the cubicle peeing and I overheard this lady talking. She was like, ‘Girls, if I could give you any advice, never go out with a man who’s 20 years your senior.’ I recorded her because I thought it was hilarious. The song originally had her voice at the beginning, but it’s illegal to record people. I was in the toilet queue before, so I don’t know how to find her. Wherever you are out there, you’re my inspiration!”

On top of being open about her love life and experiences, the singer is also very transparent about her mental health and how therapy has been a huge help in her life to help her overcome feelings of self-doubts. She shared: “There was a big chunk of time where I was in a pattern of being very self-critical, to the point where you just feel so shit about yourself, comparing your beginning point to everyone else’s finished product. That is just the thief of joy. I was honestly in quite a depressive state. I got out of it: I’ve been doing therapy and learning how I function and what environment I function best in. Therapy is awesome.”

‘The Art Of Loving’ the brand new album by Olivia Dean will be available on all major platforms on September 26 2025.

English indie superstar Holly Humberstone has just shared a new reworking of her hit track ‘Dive’ on July 25. With its original release for her 2024 EP ‘Work In Progress’, this new version of the track features emerging artist and actress, Asha Banks, who grew attached to the song after it surrounded her character’s final scene in Amazon Prime’s romantic drama, My Fault: London.

Humberstone told Dork Magazine how they came to collaborate on the track, sharing: “I had the pleasure of meeting & working with Asha a couple months back after Dive was featured on the My Fault: London sound track & I very quickly became a fan of hers, […] “I asked her if she’d be down to record a new version of the song with me and im so excited for you all to hear it !! Asha’s dreamy vocals are unmatched and it’s been so cool to hang out & hear my song reimagined by someone sooo amazing.”

Banks’ romantic, airy vocals hit even harder by Humberstone on their acoustic version filmed at Queen Caroline’s temple in Kensingston Gardens, right next to Hyde Park.

Banks originally entered the arts on the West End before hitting the screens in the BBC series, A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder, in July last year.

She then made her break into music with her debut single ‘So Green’, released ahead of her 6-track EP ‘Untie My Tongue’. The sprinkly, indie-folk single floats over your ears in a stripped-back vulnerability that immediately has listeners hooked, pushing it to just under 1 million listens on Spotify. The rest of the EP has a similar acoustic, earthy style, particularly in her highest streamed song ‘Feel The Rush’ at over 3 million listens.

With a feature on Humberstone’s hypnotic indie track, Banks is still teasing her own music, with a snippet of a potential new song posted to Instagram yesterday (July 27).

Irish singer-songwriter Nell Mescal’s latest new single ‘Carried Away’ marks the artist’s return after a year since her last hit EP ‘Can I Miss It For A Minute’.

The hypnotic folk ballad, produced by Philip Weinrobe, was released with a romantic music video, where Mescal’s voice shines in a dark red theme.

Mescal teased her heartbreak anthem on Instagram, filming herself in an empty field with the caption “got carried away need to reconnect don’t text me”.

This new track marks a change for the artist as she goes from indie sorrow to folk storytelling. Mescal told Dork Magazine, “It’s a song about asking for reassurance from someone you’re in a tumultuous relationship with and being disappointed by their answer,” she then explained the crux of the story with its title, “Instead of saying they love you back, they say they just got carried away.”

Though, this fresh new track comes with an emotional honesty that’s been present throughout her career, quickly capturing the hearts of listeners worldwide. On ‘Can I Miss It For A Minute’, Mescal explained in an interview with Vogue how this vulnerability comes about in her writing process. She said, “I was writing with my friend yesterday, and he said, ‘Sometimes we write stuff, and we don’t even realize those are our feelings about it […] Then all of a sudden it’s written, and we’re confronted with the fact that we said that, so we mean it.”

The artist has had a quick rise to fame after the EP reached the Scottish Top 100 Album Charts, performing some exciting gigs from joining Florence and the Machine on tour to supporting Shania Twain at the BST Hyde Park Headline show in July. Mescal has also concluded her set of intimate shows around the UK just two days ago (24 July). Fans recorded her last night in Cardiff, with Mescal’s captivating charm silencing the audience at Wales’ signature rock venue, Clwb Ifor Bach.

‘Luvergirl’ was written across the UK, Jamaica and St. Vincent, with features from Masicka, Tanya Stephens, Bayka, and more. The project follows her 2023 album ‘IRL’, which teased her new sonic direction as she leans into her heritage and explores Jamaica’s music scene.

The singer has been involved in several projects while writing her new EP, namely the launch of her R&B showcase night, Mahalia Presents, in which she shines a spotlight on the most exciting emerging talents. She spoke to Culted about the foundations of the project and her pride for its ongoing celebration of new artists.

“I used to put them on in Leicester when I was about 16. That was all about bringing artists from out of the city into ours. I always wanted to start it up again, but I didn’t know how and realised it was time to jump back in! It’s still one of the best things I’ve ever done, and I’m so proud of it.”

The legendary rock band, The Coral, have shared news of an exciting twist on their self-titled debut album from 2002. The band have been re-recording their hit tracks in an 8-bit retro video game style to release for a new album ‘The Coral Caves Of Illusion– Debut Album Celebration’. They’ll be releasing this fresh record on 5 September.

Bassist Paul Duffy has been at the heart of production, using the miniBit platform to reinvent their legendary tracks that pushed the album to number 5 on the Official Album Charts. The band have shared their reworking of hit song ‘Shadows Fall’ on Soundcloud, which was reuploaded by fans on YouTube. The haunting, electronic rock song makes a fresh transition to 8-bit, bringing out the jovial sonic breaks in its original release.

Duffy explained how the concept came to be in an interview with NME. He said, “We were in the process of filming the documentary and James asked Nick Power (keyboards) if anyone could make an 8-bit version of ‘Shadows Fall’ for a short scene in which we were depicted as pixel characters.”

The band loved this reworking of the track and Power said, “I’ve always been a bit of a gamer, so it was perfect for me. Everyone loved it so much that they said do the whole first album in 8-bit. Now it’s featured throughout the documentary.”

The documentary in question is another massive project the band have recently worked on. The Dreaming Of You film premiered at Sheffield Doc Fest on 21 June, sharing the story of the musicians’ rise to fame in the early 2000s Bandwagon club scene. Directed by James Slater, the film was described as “a nostalgic, immersive coming-of-age documentary charting the rise of The Coral, six childhood mates from the Wirral who turned suburban misfit energy into musical magic.”

We can expect the film’s namesake ‘Dreaming Of You’ to feature on ‘The Coral Caves Of Illusion– Debut Album Celebration’, a well-anticipated re-release considering its addictive, jumpy rock beat.

The Coral have been playing some huge shows this summer supporting Elbow, Blossoms, Kaiser Chiefs and Supergrass across the UK. They’ll be continuing their rock-filled summer with gigs in London and Liverpool as well as a slot at this year’s Lazydays Festival. Find tickets and updates on the band’s official website and pre-order their upcoming album here.
