
English singer-songwriter Yungblud performed for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, promoting his upcoming album. Yungblud is set to release his fourth album titled ‘Idols’ this coming Friday, June 20.
He released three songs from the album in late May ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’, ‘Lovesick Lullaby’, and ‘Zombie’, which debuted with a music video starring well-known English actress Florence Pugh. ‘Zombie’ has now climbed to his number one most popular song on Spotify. ‘Idols’ will consist of twelve tracks, including songs ‘The Greatest Parade’, ‘Monday Murder’, ‘Ghosts’, ‘Fire’, and ‘Supermoon’. The album is set to explore themes of the concept of self-belief and the power of change.

The rockstar is known for his high-energy performances and a willingness to address important social issues and personal struggles with mental health and identity through his lyrics. Through these lyrics, he often touches on challenges that the younger generation faces.
Yungblud released his debut album back in 2018, titled ‘21st Century Liability’, followed by his second album ‘weird!’ in 2020, which reached number one on the UK Album Charts. He later released his self-titled album ‘YUNGBLUD’ in 2022. The singer also covered the famous song ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You’ by the rock band Kiss, which was featured in last year’s film The Fall Guy starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.
While promoting his upcoming album ‘Idols’, Yungblud performed for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. He sang a cover of well-known The Verve’s ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’, a classic song and inspiration for his new album. In addition to honoring The Verve, Yungblud also performed his latest single ‘Zombie’ on the radio show. The singer has expressed many different influences throughout his career, including famous artists such as The Clash, The Beatles, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, The Cure, and The Sex Pistols.
Yungblud has also announced his ‘Idols’ World Tour ahead of the release, starting in August in North America, performing in Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, New York, and Boston. He will also be stopping in Toronto, Canada, before heading to Europe with shows in Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Warsaw, and Vienna.
He will be continuing his tour in April 2026 in Ireland and the UK, ending in London and Manchester. All tour tickets are out now and can be found here.
