Marti Perramon has released his new EP ‘Boy From Barcelona Baby‘, and this EP has been released after he announced a UK tour for February 2026 in support of the new EP.
Marti is an alternative-pop and R&B artist from Barcelona based in South London and has become a new exciting artist in the UK music scene. His music draws from inspiration from his Spanis background as well as modern UK pop. He explores themes of love, and personal growth through his songwriting and connects with audiences who can relate to the idea of expressing themselves.
His first breakthrough came from singles such as ‘Daffodil’ and ‘Sugar (Honey Ice Tea)’, with each track showcasing a different side to him, but all still incorporating the same themes of love and growth as mentioned above.
His previous two EPs, ‘Conversations for Dreamers’ (released in 2024), and ‘A Brief Note That Ended Up Being About You’ (released earlier this year), introduced his audience to songwriting which explores self-exceptance and vulnerability, themes he has continued to explore in this new EP.
His new EP, ‘Boy From Barcelona Baby’ reflects on Marti as a person and his life experiences, having moved to London when he was 9 years old and not being able to sepak any English. In an Instagram post, he described this EP as him coming to terms with the fact that he is “a little different”. He said, “I want to do things my way. I want to be loud, excited, joyful, eccentric, and most importantly I wanna tell the truth. About who I am, About why I am who I am, and about why i move my hips with such ease.”
He hopes that anyone who listens to this EP is able to “find the comfort in [themselves] and tell [their] story without shame or fear of standing out.”
Marti has also announced a headline tour for February next year called the Boy From Barcelona Baby Tour with four dates taking place around the UK. The tour will start on February 22 in Glasgow at SWG3 Poetry Club, with shows then happening in Manchester and Bristol, before finishing the tour on February 26 at London’s Camden Assembley.
Marti has performed at major showcases in his career such as The Great Escape and Live At Leeds this year. He has also opened for Alessia Cara around Europe, supported Ben Ellis around the UK recently, and will be supporting Arthur Hill on tour around Europe with the first show taking place in Paris tomorrow. In August earlier this year, Marti did his first tour, with two solo shows in Manchester and London.
