Later, Louis hinted that he was “going to play something new” at this year’s Away From Home Festival in New York next month, after replying to a fan on X told him to “stop being a fucking teaasseeee aaaaaahhhhh.”
In response to this, a fan said, “only one new song?” to which he replied, “That wouldn’t be fair would it“.
According to Music-News, Louis described songs on his new, upcoming album as “sunny” and with a dash of “chaos”.
In July, whilst performing at Lodz Summer Festival, Louis confirmed he’d actually finished the next record.
The Away From Home Festival will be taking place in New York next month. Besides Louis, other performers include Lauv, Steve Aoki, Pale Waves, and Circa Waves.
Louis Tomlinson’s solo career started in 2020 with the release of his debut album ‘Walls’, which reached number 4 on the UK album charts.
Shortly after the release of his debut album, one of the tracks ‘Defenceless’, charted in the UK due to a fan-driven streaming campaign. It peaked at number 32 out of 40, showing the strength of his fanbase, as it charted without even being an official single.
Louis originally planned to tour in 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he was forced to move the shows to later dates.
He eventually toured in 2022, selling out venues all across the UK and Europe, giving fans a chance to hear his solo music live for the first time.
Louis then released his second album ‘Faith In The Future’ in 2022. This record became a major milestone in his solo career, reaching number 1 on the UK album charts.
Back in 2022, Louis spoke with NME and he shared that he felt more comfortable in his artistic skin than when he first started solo.
“That has been a process and I think it’ll be an ever-evolving process as well,” he said. “But I definitely feel really comfortable about just following my heart musically and seeing where it gets me.”
Louis was also recently spotted with former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik, sparking rumours of a potential collaboration, as it looked like they were filming something.
