Lewis Capaldi has released a new single ‘The Day That I Die’ from his new EP ‘Survive’. The emotional song from Lewis Capaldi is his fourth since his comeback following from the songs ‘Survive’, ‘Something In The Heavens’, and ‘Almost’.
His new EP ‘Survive‘ came out today (November 14), and the songs have been described as some of his “most raw and personal songs to date”.
His latest single comes after he made his comeback in June, when he released his single ‘Survive’, and went on to perform a surprise set at the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.
The song became his sixth UK number one track, and the fastest selling single of 2025 so far, overtaking the likes of Sabrina Carpenter and Lady Gaga.
Lewis Capaldi recently wrapped his 2025 UK live shows, which marks his first shows in around two years.
The latest run of live shows comes after Lewis was forced to cut his set short at Glastonbury in 2023 after he was struggling with tics cause by Tourette’s. He later then announced he was planning to take time off to focus on his health.
Since coming back from his hiatus, he has teamed up with BetterHelp to provide free online therapy. When announcing this collaboration, Lewis said, “Therapy is the reason why I am able to be a musician again.”
This year, Lewis Capaldi made a comeback, returning to live shows, and surprising fans with appearances at charity events such as a benefit gig in Edinburgh for the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), which works in suicide prevention.
When Lewis Capaldi stepped out for his surprise set at Glastonbury 2025, the stage erupted. Fans who remembered his emotional exit, were excited to see him smiling.
He told the crowd, “second time’s a charm… I just wanted to finish what I couldn’t finish the first time around.”
Lewis Capaldi first broke through the music industry in 2017 with his independently released single ‘Bruises’, which quickly became a hit and became the fastest ever song by an unsigned artist to reach 25 million plays on Spotify.
Lewis Capaldi recently announced a new UK and Ireland tour for 2026, which included a headline slot at next year’s BST Hyde Park.
