Former One Direction member and pop megastar Harry Styles was spotted in the crowd at the Vatican at Pope Leo XIV’s unveiling.
Styles, 31, was spotted on 8 May, wearing a blue jacket, sunglasses, and a grey cap that reads ‘Techno Is My Boyfriend’. The snap quickly went viral, and fans of the singer have taken to social media to share their support and amusement.
One fan posted: “They should’ve made him pope”.
Another tweet read: “Wearing a techno is my boyfriend cap at the conclave u cant make this up”.

Although the singer has never publicly declared his faith, Styles reflected on his spirituality in a 2016 interview for Another Man. He told comedian Chelsea Handler: “I definitely consider myself to be more spiritual than religious. I’m not super tied-in to certain rules but I think it’s naïve to say nothing exists and there’s nothing above us or more powerful than us. I think that’s a little narrow-minded.”
He added: “I definitely think there’s something, that it’s not just us. It’s kind of crazy to think that it’s just us. I’m not saying I believe in aliens, but you know what I mean.”
After the conclusion of his ‘Love On Tour’ in 2023, the Grammy winner has kept a relatively low profile, having released no new music or made any film appearances since 2022. However, the star has been spotted across the world for a host of non-music-related endeavours, particularly running.
In March, the pop star was spotted running the Tokyo Marathon, finishing with an impressive sub-3:30 time.
In April, Styles joined a London running club and was snapped showing up to a meet wearing jeans.
And when he’s not running, fans have spotted him enjoying a coffee in Berlin and taking a ride in a bright pink London taxi.
All of these unpredictable appearances have left fans curious as to where Harry Styles will show up next.
