E! Entertainment has today reported that Kanye West may well be looking to resurrect his previously abandoned Saint Pablo tour, and fulfil it’s obligations in Europe and the UK over the course of this year.
West famously cancelled his latest tour in November, part way through it’s American leg. Following this, and a series of increasingly bizarre onstage rants, the Chicago rapper was hospitalised “for his own health and safety” following reports of severe sleep deprivation, exhaustion, and paranoia. West’ hospitalisation understandably threw the remaining tour dates under question, with the MC’s representative’s contacting Live Nation to confirm it’s cancellation in December.
However, an anonymous source has now spoken to E!- which is the network that produces West’s wife’s reality TV show- to suggest that Kanye is aiming to resume the abandoned tour in due course. The tip said “Kanye has a few surprise projects coming up that involves music and concerts in the spring and summer. Plus he is working on his fashion line and some collaborations […] Kanye wants to finish the tour. He loves his show, and he wants everyone in the world to see it.”
Despite this, there has been no official confirmation or announcement regarding a tour from Kanye’s camp. Last week, it was revealed that West was apparently one of the few artists in the world not to have been invited to play President Donald Trump’s inauguration, due to his music not being “traditionally American.” This followed a bizarre meeting between the two, which itself was one of West’s first public appearances since his admission to hospital.
