The Rap game UK has returned for a third season. The bafta nominated show hosted by rap duo Krept and Konan, and the UK rap veteran DJ Target, follow 6 artists as they hope to become the next star in UK rap.
The 6 artists chosen to appear on the show will stay in an apartment together in Manchester for the 6 weeks process in hopes of winning the cash prize of £20,000 as well as a mentor scheme to help them create, launch and promote new music following the show.
The 3rd season of the show started last Thursday with the release of the first episode on BBC iplayer, the 6 artists competing in this year’s competition are; Kay Rico hailing from Manchester he has supported Wiley on his Godfather 2 tour in 2018 and has worked alongside fellow Mancunian Aitch, Saidu a 19-year-old from Bermondsey a grime artist willing to go into other genres, female artists Pocaa from Hackney who takes inspiration from UK artists Youngs Teflon and J Hus as well as US legends Missy Elliot and Lil Kim, Scotsman Oaksy B is from Glasgow and hopes to become the biggest musician to ever come out of Scotland, BrynBP from South London fell in love with rap when her brother introduced her to Biggie, Tupac and Snoop Dogg, and the last artist to appear on this year’s show is 19-year old KayDizzy from Stoke who hopes to make his mother proud by becoming the biggest artist in the UK.
The show will be released weekly on BBC Iplayer and will feature some of the biggest artists in the UK rap scene as guest judges.
