AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson has stated that it’s likely that the band will tour at some point this year.
Posting on his Brian Johnson Racing website, the AC/DC frontman has claimed that his “day job” with the band will be distracting him from creating further episodes of his TV series Cars That Rock for a while.
The full section of his statement reads the he hopes “to bring you more shows in the near future but, of course, there is the slight distraction of my day job with AC/DC – and it looks very likely that we will be on the road again before the end of the year. So stand by for more music – and more Cars That Rock.”
This statement comes just a couple of months after it was announced that guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young would be taking a break due to ill health. In the statement announcing Young’s departure from the band it clearly stated that “the band will continue to make music.”
Though there has yet to be any official confirmation that the band will tour at any point this year, Johnson’s words will no doubt have the legions of classic rock fans excited.
