
Joe Trohman has embarked on his own side gig, releasing a sticker bag commentating on a recent tour cycle.Chicago based rockstars, Fall Out Boy are not individuals to shy away from the odd side hustle. Bassist and poetical songwriter, Pete Wentz owns his own record label, owned a nightclub, a jewellery line and a clothing line, Trohman is now stealing his thunder with his own project.
Fall Out Boy itself was spun at the very fingertips of Trohman and Wentz in 2001, it was viewed by the duo as a side project from the hardcore punk scene they were all too familiar with. After recruiting Patrick Stump as a vocalist, Fall Out Boy swiftly reached mainstream success with their major label debut, ‘From Under The Cork Tree’. The beloved classic was released in 2005 by Island Records and debuted on the US Billboard 200 and No. 9. The albums as the birthplace of the bands most notorious hit, ‘Sugar We’re Going Down’.
The group embarked on a preposterous world tour, ‘So Much For (Tour) Dust’ this was in support of their eight-studio album, ‘So Much (For) Stardust’. The tour took place from June 2023 all the way through to May 2024 and consisted of 79 shows in total. This era of Fall Out Boy was new, improved and all the more positive as the band grew not only as individuals but as a collective group. The last fully solo headlining tour took place in 2018, the. ‘MANIA Tour.’ This was in support of their album of the same name, ‘Mania’.
Whilst on this turbulent tour, the bands guitarist Trohman compiled numerous snap shots which have now reincarnated into a physical sticker book for fans to have and enjoy. The book is self published and goes by the quirky name, ‘Goose Of Your Dreams’. It aims to capture behind the scenes and never before seen moments for fans to engage in from a distance. The book is set to consist of a wide array of footage all shot on film from the bands elongated time of the road.
The synopsis of the new project reads “Goose Of Your Dreams by Joe Trohman is a collection of photos from around the world, shot during the So Much (for) Stardust tour – capturing the quiddity that often passes unseen.’
Trohman released a limited number of 100 signed copies available on his website however all seem to have been swept up rapidly. The limited edition black cover has sold out however there are still copies of the ‘Regular Edition’ of the book available on Trohman’s website.
