
The dynamic Ohio duo, Twenty One Pilots have announced cinema screenings of their recorded Clancy tour. Consisting of drummer Joshua Dun and lead vocalist Tyler Joseph, the band continues to make detrimental waves in the music scene and are now coming to a big screen near you.
‘Twenty one Pilots: More Than We Ever Imagined’ will screen in theatres worldwide on February 26. Its set to be a full-length concert recording of the bands mammoth Mexico City headline show from their Clancy World Tour. This show in particular was notoriously insane, held at the Estadio GNP Seguros which has a sold-out capacity of approximately 65,000 people, the bands biggest headline show to date.
The film is set to follow the band from the moment they touch down in the city right up until the breathtaking experience of them stepping on stage in front of over 60,000 excited fans. The recording is set to feature moments of realness from backstage, exclusive tid bits and behind the scenes knowledge on how they gear up for their high energy performances.
If anyone has been to a Twenty One Pilots show, fan or not you are well aware of the level of production and craftsmanship that goes into the band’s concerts. Playing drums on a platform held by fans, trustfully walking through the dedicated audience, crowd participation and dozens of call and return moments, this band is something special.
Not only have fans speculated a concert film, but they have also eagerly been waiting for the recorded concert album ever since the three Columbus shows on the US leg of their tour were known to be recorded. Before the shows an image popped up on the big screens either side of the stage reading, ‘This show will be recorded for a live album, we have placed 40 crowd mics all around this place, so give us everything you’ve got?’ Due to the long wait time people started speculating whether the band had actually forgotten about the existence of these suspected lives album recordings, but low and behold they always have something up their sleeve. We can only pray that the Columbus live album is just around the corner.
The Clancy World Tour was the ninth tour by the American music duo, the tour began on August 15th and was a celebration of the band’s album, ‘Clancy’. The tour was separated into two legs the original Clancy tour then the Breach segment which featured new songs from the band’s latest album release, ‘Breach’. The first part of the Clancy tour consisted of 73 worldwide shows and the second leg had 23 shows. A staggering amount of hard work was put in to make each indivudal show exceptional, the tours duration stretched from August 15 2024 all the way to October 26, 2025.
This isn’t the bands first rodeo on the big screen, back in 2022 the boys released ‘Concert Experience’ which marked the first anniversary of their album, ‘Scaled and Icy’ The film was screened in over 1500 theatres across 60 counties.
The band has undoubtedly one of the most dedicated fandoms out there and it’s no doubt they are getting ready to suit up and take their seats to enjoy the phenomenal Clancy tour all over again. We simply cant wait to see what’s in store.
