London’s enigmatic acid house duo Paranoid London, made up of Gerardo Delgado and Quinn Whalley, are back with a new single: ‘Decimated Driver’, featuring Glasgow-based band Water Machine. Released on their own label, Paranoid London Records, the 12″ dropped on November 21.
This track is quintessential Paranoid London: primitive and ruthless. At its core lies the hypnotic acid bassline, powered by their trademark 303. But it’s Water Machine’s vocal chants of “AN – TI – CI – PA – TION” that give the track an almost ritualistic quality. On the B-side, they offer a dub version: darker and moodier, built for the dancefloor, with lots of opportunities for DJs to weave in more stripped back sections.
According to their Instagram announcement, ‘Decimated Driver’ was road-tested across festival sets during the summer, giving it that crackling energy born from sweat and late-night hardware sessions. The production is still very much the raw, stripped-down acid aesthetic we’re used to but there is definitely a slightly polished edge to it, a nice surprise, showing that they are embracing new ideas.
This latest release follows Paranoid London’s recent string of vinyl drops, including their earlier 2025 single ‘Talk Dirty / Revolution’. However, ’Decimated Driver’ marks an interesting collaboration and bringing in Water Machine definitely gives the track a different melodic and vocal quality, while still fully embracing Paranoid London’s acid-punk identity.
Paranoid London’s live plans show a busy year-end and early-2026: they’re listed to play Wonderfruit Festival (Thailand) on December 11 2025, and they’re billed for the XXXLarge Day & Night Festival at The Cause in London on New Year’s Eve. All event information is available on Resident Advisor.
Paranoid London continue to make acid house that lives on its own terms: gritty, raw, and not afraid to experiment. With the help of Water Machine’s haunting chants, they’ve made a track that’s both dancefloor ready and emotionally resonant. For fans of analogue hardware, underground house, and boundary-pushing electronic music, this is Paranoid London doing just that.
