Next up is five homecoming gigs at Manchester’s Heaton Park, as the band look to capitalise on the current hype with this announcement of a reissue of their entire discography.
Available on both CD and vinyl, the box set is called ‘Oasis: Complete Studio Album Collection’ and will feature classics such as ‘Definitely Maybe’ and ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ as well as the bands final album, ‘Dig Out Your Soul’, and the iconic b-side compilation album ‘The Masterplan’.
The box set is set for release on August 22 with the CD version available to pre-order now for £60, and the vinyl variant being sold for £250. An Amazon exclusive edition will also be available which would see both the CD and vinyl variants being reissued in gold. Head here to pre-order it now.
Oasis will continue their tour with the aforementioned dates at Heaton Park kicking off this Friday (July 11) and continuing on July 12, 16, 19 and 20. Around 80,000 fans are expected for each night before they head to London’s Wembley Stadium for a huge seven nights.
Cast and Richard Ashcroft will continue supporting the Britpop icons throughout the Irish and British leg of the tour as they also have dates scheduled for Edinburgh and Dublin.

The first night of the tour last Friday received rave reviews, including five-stars from NME where they said: “After a ‘90s heyday and an often maligned post-millennium era, this is Oasis redesigned for the 21st century. Playing before a pop-art-meets-psychedelia visual spectacular that never distracts but will look sick on a phone, they seem the quintessential stadium band playing the greatest hits of greatest hits.”
This new box set release comes just weeks after the band announced a remastered version of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the classic 1995 album.
Featuring unheard, unplugged, acoustic versions of ‘Acquiesce’, ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Morning Glory’, ‘Champagne Supernova’ and ‘Cast No Shadow’ the reissue will be released on October 3 and is available to pre-order now from here.
With all the reissues and upcoming tour dates for Oasis, the hype and excitement around the Mancunian rockers continues to grow. Keep up to date with all Oasis related news here at mxdwn.co.uk.
