Canadian singer-songwriter, Tate McRae, has wrapped up her UK and Europe shows for her Miss Possessive world tour. Her European and UK leg started in May with shows in Madrid, Dublin, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Copenhagen, Berlin, and Vienna. This past week, she went back to the UK, performing at London’s O2 Arena for the second time on June 24 and Manchester on June 25, ending her UK shows.
Her set list included songs ‘Miss possessive’, ‘Purple lace bra’, ‘Revolving door’, ‘Sports Car’, ‘It’s ok I’m ok’, and ‘Greenlight’ from her most recent album, as well as songs from past albums and singles such as ‘Greedy’, ‘exes’, ‘run for the hills’, and ‘you broke me first’.
Tate McRae incorporated her dancer background, trained in various styles from a young age, into her shows and gave energetic, top-tier choreography. Most notably, her songs ‘2 Hands’, ‘Greedy’, ‘It’s ok I’m ok’, and ‘exes’ include a dance break, as well as using the stage and props like a chair for her song ‘Sports Car’. She also uses the help of her many talented backup dancers to create the choreography in full, all while singing.
She also interacted with her audience, sharing personal stories and created a more intimate atmosphere and emotional connection. The artist was praised for both her strong vocals and presence on stage. Her shows continued to help solidify her as the rising pop star of this generation.
The singer released her third studio album ‘So Close To What’ this year in February, which achieved significant success, debuting at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 and reached number two on the UK Album Charts. The album’s lead singles included ‘Sports Car’, ‘2 Hands’, ‘It’s ok I’m ok’, ‘bloodonmyhands’, and ‘I know love’, which featured The Kid LAROI.
Tate also recently released a song, ‘Just Keep Watching’, created for the new F1 The Movie, that released in theatres on June 25 in the UK. The song had immediate success, climbing to her number one most popular song on Spotify.
Tate is continuing her world tour in August in Canada and North America with shows in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, Boston, New York, Orlando, and Seattle. See more tour information here.
